Guilin Day 1 - 18 December 2009

The weather in Guilin in December is very cold, about 10degrees and of course it's so relaxing and enjoyable to go for traveling in such a cool cold weather. Pictures will turn out good and mood will be very good as well. Guilin, famed as "the finest under heaven", is one of the regions you must visit in China. Guilin is excellent either for a leisure vacation or an outdoor adventure. Its fascinating Karst peaks along the picturesque Li River connecting Guilin and Yangshuo, and the magnificent rice terraces in minority mountain village Longji have never failed to amaze its visitors.

Arrived at Guilin airport in the afternoon. After lunch, we proceeded to Li River Crown Cave Scenic Spot.

Self drive ...

Interesting rite. I definitely can drive this because only brake and oil! That's it.. I don't have to cut left and right, no overtake... only a straight road! Hehe...

After cave, we moved on to Nobility for some crystal shopping. Of course, don't get anything there because it's expensive, and sometimes it's fake!

Then... dinner time!

This was the most expensive hotel that we stayed in Guilin!

If only my house is just like this? Awww....

I don't mind sleeping in here also.. because it was so clean, cosy and comfortable! LOL.....

Apartment view of a hotel....

The name of the hotel is Lijiang Waterfall... and there will be rhythmic waterfall show every night, 8pm flowing from the top of hotel to the based (with a space to recycle the water). So if you wanna stay here, remember to close your window by 7.30pm. Heard from the tour guide that they spend thousands for one waterfall show. Worth or not worth? Haha...

Night @ leisure time = shopping time.

Walking distance to the bazaar from the hotel, approximately 5 mins. If only I know Guilin has good shopping spot too, I will change more $$$.
So, that's all about day 1 =)
