What is in my mind now?

Today, 1 June 2009, 11:35am. It's going to be lunch time and now I got an itchy mouth. Just feel like munching on junk food! Not rice/KFC or watever, but I want Junk food!! Just finished a packet of Tam Tam "Crab Flavoured Snacks" at 11am and sigh, there's no more junk food left in my drawer. Felt kinda sad plus disappointed and well, I just cannot explain how I feel at the moment. Got a bit of heartache feeling, I just want junk food... sound so silly rite.

Oh No, look at all the fattening food that I grabbed from Jusco few weeks back. I love em so much and I just couldn't resist but to grab... and truly, I gained so much weight now. Sigh, jogging anyone?

Peppermint paradise from magnolia, wanted to get a better quality of peppermint ice cream from Bulla or Cadbury, but they are way too expensive. RM29.90 for one tub, sigh, so expensive. And Australia actually sell them for $6.90. If I were to earn aussie dollars, I can easily grab them every month. Hahaha... I can only afford these Magnolia tubs, two for RM14.99. Huhu....

My favorite, durian oh durian. When is the durian season? I can no longer tahan ler....some said end of May, some said beginning of June, some said end of June. So which is the correct one? Please don't give me false hopes ok. And Justin actaully thought of getting 25 biji of durian for my birthday instead of buying a birthday cake. I was like.... so romantic, with thorns all around and then you lit candle on every biji and then happy birthday song! Wow.... too bad, season is yet to arrive. Sigh again....And yeah, don't ever get durian from JJ, seriously NOT delicious! Eventhough they can say it's premium grade la, or gold grade la.. watever, just don't believe them. Get good durian only from stalls.....

And finally, the mango pudding, 3 for RM7.50. I just love the nata de coco in the pudding, so delicious! Grab one if you like pudding too... =D

Oh, after blogging bout all this, aarggh, just feel like driving home and grab some bites. I have all these at home ready for me to munch, except durian. Feeling so sad now, food oh food.

Wilson & Monica's Wedding @ Cititel, Mid Valley

This post was kinda outdated because the wedding ceremony was held two weeks ago, on 9th May 2009 and now only I blog bout it. There were two meaningful celebrations on this particular day because first of all, it was Wilson and Monica's big day and secondly, Sally was born on this day! 9 May is just a good day for all the happy occassions? Hope they will have a blissful marriage and most importantly, God is always in the center of their marriage. Let's bless them with prayers and yeah, God's tremendous blessings upon both of them!
Me and Sophia Kang, I really miss her and the last time I saw her was about 2 years ago when I left WHC. She was just a cute little girl at that time and hardly talks to people, except to her parents. But now, she can even pose with me and I have to pretend that I've known her for ages. That was my trick to get a pic with her. Haha... And thanks to Cath for diverting her mind on the Old Mc Donald had a DOG song..hahahaha. I laughed like mad at that time when Sophia said, NO NO, is Old McDonald had a farm.. not dog. Her soft voice suddenly melt my heart, I miss you! And suddenly, yeah.. I miss all my students now! :(

Me and Evangel... I just love it when she tells stories. Her stories with sorts of expression can just make me laugh and laugh and laugh.... and because of her, I was known as the Laughter Queen! Well, I miss her toooo.......

Me and Josephine.. well, we used to hang out when I was in WHC and yeah, I still remember accompanying her till late night at Hartini for roti canai/roti pisang, my favorite. And we will just talk and edify one another, sharing thoughts and giving good advice, jokes and made one another laugh... and yeah, I miss her too. Especially her caring heart, she cares for me so much especially when I was having my exams and her words of encouragement will just build me up. Not to forget, most of the time in SMS she will send me Bible verses, is just like my food for the day! Oh, I really miss that SMS. Please take care when you're in UK, I'm not able to take care of you but... I can pray! =)

Me and Nicole, she was one of my loving housemate at B3-14 and whenever she was sad, she will just come into my room and share her thoughts/feelings. Sometimes she will share till tears rolling in her eyes and when I see ppl cry, I cannot help but to shed tears too. I know her pain, but sis, I will help you in anyways that I'm capable of, and with all the abilities given by God, I will do it for you! I just love it when she hangs out in my room, because sometimes I will share my thoughts/feelings to her too. I'm not sentimental or emotional, neither is she. But, we were just so close that we want to help and edify one another. Yea, the word EDIFY was always our best practice in cell group. I miss her, especially her actions. Check it out when she forgot something.. her reaction can just make you laugh! *when I think bout it, I started laughing now.. hahahahahaha* ... I miss you Nicole!

Hubby, me and Andrew.... Andrew is just such a loving young man and he loves to kacau me! Whenever we met in the lift or anywhere at desa, he will surely ask, where is your Justin? Sounds cheeky... =D And yeah, I love to kacau him too.. and just like to see his baby face reaction! For this pic, I will not say I miss you, just like the other pics... haha, cause you're not my ji mui. Hahaha... All da best to you bro, and kambateh in your working life!
And these girls were all my lovely housemates at A15-13. From left back row, Zoel, Mabel, Colleen, me and Canny. Oh, I really miss those days when we were staying together, laughing and caring for one another! Mabel was our house leader and yeah, she was just sooo kind to us and whenever we noticed that she was back, everyone will just shout "Mama's back!! Mama's back!!" And she walked in proudly with her hands on the waist which made all of us laughed. I miss the moment....
Me and Zoel... she was my roommate and also housemate. We used to tickle one another and then she will just shout, Shu Zhen, don't play already la. But, I just can't stop but to disturb and tickle her more and more. Haha, she's such a friendly and lovely roommate. I used to sick last time, almost every 2 weeks I will definitely down with fever, and she was so caring to boil chrysanthemum/leng teh. Sometimes she will cook porridge or soup for me. She was just like mom at hometown and well, the most unforgettable part was when she cooked porridge and she added sausage. I was like... sausage in porridge?? Hahaha.... Her laughter will definitely make me laugh, sometimes I was so stressed with assignments and finals, but her laughters will just tone down my stress. Whenever I'm down, I will definitely go to her and well... I get healed by just talking to her. That's her gift! Oh Lai Lai, I really miss you larh. And she will be leaving to UK tomorrow, on my birthday! Aih..... Please take care! I will not forget the moment we had when we took bus to MidValley and also when you were trying clothes in the fitting room at MidValley. Also, not to forget the LAMB jokes. Hahaha...
Me and Colleen, a great dancer! She can dance very well and yeah, I really love all her graceful dance. She's just so gifted in dancing and her dance can just turn the world upside down because it's really great! Keep it up gal and well, glad to hear that you're working in GRC too... I miss the moment when I was a teacher in GRC with all the great kids! I miss you too Colleen, especially the moment we spent together with hamsters. Hahaha...

Hubby and me, well should I elaborate here? Because I will be seeing him everyday, and yeah, I wish I do not have the chance to miss him. Wherever he goes, I will follow! That's definitely.. even if you're off to business trip, you promised to bring me along too, so that we shall not be separated! And yeah, we already have handshaked promise on that, so please remember yea. Hehehe... I love you dear and you're always the best in my life.
Jadeline, Josephine, me and Canny. Jadeline was my cell leader and yeah, she's the most caring person in the world I can say. Also, she's very patient and really hang on to every verses in the Bible well. You can hardly see her angry or shouting or gossiping about people, but all you can see in her is care and love. She cares for her flocks and she's such a great leader! Canny was just my best housemate from B3-14 to A12-13 to A15-13! Wherever she moved to, from house to house, we must always shift together and shall not be parted. That shows how close we were in those days and she's just so caring as well, and when she started to care for people, she will forget about herself. I used to tell her, please care for yourself more than you care for people and put yourself first before you put others first. Sometimes she's just so passionate on others that she will sacrifice her money and time for others. You can see how well she lead the children ministry and yeah, I can say that she was the founder of Children Ministry in WHC. I miss you Canny and let's hang out more! You're such a lovely sis and please take care. Remember, I will always be there for you, and my phone is always available 24X7! I miss you!!

Me and Cath... I spent my first job with her, walking together from Taman Bahagia LRT station to GRC(at Tmn Megah, near the basketball court or further down after La Manila cafe), how crazy it was to walk that far and yeah, because of that I was so slim and thin. Now, really good life at HP that I put on so much weight. Sigh.... Well, I love her English because she speaks well. Hang out with her more will definitely improve my Eng. When I worked in GRC , I fell sick almost every 2 weeks once and yeah, she was the person who cared for me when I have to work even I was sick. She will just make sure I will not faint in the middle of the road. I miss you too Cath, especially when we combo to make Brandon (small) cry. Hahahaha.... I still have the photo that we made him cry till he covered himself with his Tshirt.

Me and Sally, she was my housemate at B3-14 and well, she can cook really well, especially the porridge with ikan bilis, potato and carrot. So delicious that do you know, till today I still cook that porridge? Thanks for your knowledge... I miss her too, and yeah, she's also one of the caring person. She can really care for you and understand what you actually need at the moment, and she will get it for you. I was touched by her actions the time I had my exams and did not have time to tapao dinner, but somehow she just got a click on that and she asked me if I want to tapao. Wow, how do you know I was actually waiting for someone to help me tapao food? You have good instinct sis, and develop it yea. Use it for God's glory! I miss you sis... please take care. And happy birthday to you on 9th May 2009!

Me and Vignath, Justin's housemate and buddy! I used to tell him, study ah, study ah, study study study!! Hahaha... luckily he didn't find me bored and naggy but he still treat me as tai kar jie. So good of you, then can I nag more? Hahaha... Wish you all the best in your studies and yeah, Justin's phone is always available if you need anything yea... =)

And finally, the priceless picture for the day. The bride (Monica) and groom (Wilson). God bless your marriage and all things will work for good for those who loved Him! Have a blissful marriage!

That's all for now. Ciao.... I hope you didn't get bored with this, such a long winded post. This post was kinda emotional and sentimental rite, every pics ended with the word I miss you, I miss you! The miss feeling cannot be denied because I'm really missing all my ji mui's now and the moments that we spent together were all priceless memories that cannot be wind back again. But, all the memories will always reside in my mind and please do take care because we will hardly meet again! I miss all of you.............................................. *sob*

Fruitful and satisfying day!

Last Tuesday was indeed a fruitful day because first of all, I had good food and secondly, I just bought a novel! It was Twilight novel... and it has been a really long time since I last touched a book written by "Ed Wheat, Gaye Wheat". We had our dinner at Restoran Peranakan Place again at 1Utama and I was totally addicted to the delicious nyonya tofu. Unfortunately, they changed the style of the tofu and even the tofu they replaced it with Japanese tofu instead of home made beancurd. Kinda disappointed with the dish and yeah, I will not go back there again.

They just renovated the restaurant and this is the new look. Looks simple but elegant. New look means new hope? How bout menu, if you change for the better still ok, but the tofu... dun degrade la. I dun like Japanese tofu, use back the homemade beancurd! Hope the manager of the restaurant will read this and improve! And I was looking for customer survey but nope, they do not have that. Too bad, you cannot hear opinions to improve.

While waiting for the food, btw, their service is kinda slow.. so if you were to eat here, be patient yea.

Nyonya fried chicken (RM13.80 for small and RM21 for large) - Marinated with special blended ingredients and deep fried. Quite unique, and this is a must to try. And definitely not a try if you're dieting.
Related review for Peranakan Place :
1) Visit #1

We just walked around in 1Utama to let our food digest before we go home, and then I saw a book fair from MPH. Kinda excited because there was a large board stated 70%. This is always the marketing skills that when ppl see 70%, they will definitely walk in and have a look. If you're lucky enough, then they will grab few things. I was kinda excited when I saw the series of Stephenie Meyer on 20% discount. Thought of grabbing all the series, Eclipse, New Moon, Breaking Dawn and Twilight.. but I think twice and decided to get Twilight first. Just afraid I got overly excited this season and throw them aside for dust collection after few months.

RM35.50 with 20%, kinda cheap rite... so if you're Twilight fans, grab one now!

The contents... till today, I just read up to 2 pages, not even a chapter because weekdays I'm usually lazy. After work is always relax and TVs and movies and paktor!

American Idol 2009 ~ Kris Allen

Simon said to both Adam and Kris : I would just say to both of you, you both are brilliant, unusually incredibly nice ppl. I think both of you should be proud of what you achieved last night and the future is yours! *claps from the floor*

Dim the lights, here we go! After the nationwide vote of nearly 100 millions, the winner of American Idol 2009 issssssssssssssss Kris Allen!!! *cheers, shouts, and louder claps from the floor* OH YES!!!

Kris Allen was fantastically great and yeah, I just love watching his performance. The moment when he was announced as the winner of American Idol 2009, I was clapping and shouting all the way at home, supporting him as far as in Malaysia. Hahaha.. Crazy me, that's what Justin said. Lolz... I believe if you ever watched the final, you will definitely fall in love with Kris. He's just soo superb and fantastic! The song that he sang for the final, "No Boundaries" was so meaningful and I hear it over and over again without bored. His voice is incredible and if he ever sings sentimental songs, I will definitely break into tears. He's just sooo soft... that's what I can describe!

A short introduction about Kris, he was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas. He has one younger brother named Daniel who is a student and cheerleading coach at the University of Central Arkansas. He was a worship leader at New Life Church in Maumelle, Arkansas, as well as at the Chi Alpha campus ministry of the University of Central Arkansas, where he was a business major. He has done missionary work around the world, including in Burma, Mozambique, South Africa, Spain and Thailand. On September 26, 2008, he married longtime girlfriend Katy O'Connell Allen. *this is the sad part for girls that really INTO him* haha....

At the moment when he was announced as the winner of American Idol 2009, God's work has begun in the world of music. As the world's music has swayed so far away from the truth and leading people to the wrong, God has brought up a young man, to be the champion and lead the music world back to the right path. God's will shall be done as He has chosen Kris to be the shaker of the planet and to make a difference! Yes, let's keep him in our prayer and God's will shall be done! Praise Him that He always cares and thinks about His beloved... Btw, he won not because he's a Christian and received many votes, but he's TALENTED! Gifted in arts and music, this cannot be denied.

And here, let's see the comments from the judges below.... Very good compliments from the judges and I felt relieved when I heard all the excellent comments, means higher chance for him to be the winner of 2009 Idol!

Watching you tonight on that stage has been incredible.

You deserve where you are in that spotlight.

You've done amazing in this competition.

You are a compelling artist.

And some shots of Kris.....

And here are the lyrics for NO BOUNDARIES by Kara DioGuardi.

Seconds hours so many days
You know what you want but how long can you wait
Every moment last forever if you feel you’ve lost your way
What if your chances are already gone
Started believing that I could be wrong
But you give me one good reasonto fight and never walk away
Coz hear I am — still holding on!
Every step you climb another mountain
Every breathe its harder to believe
You’ll make it through the pain (or through all your aches and pains)
Weather the hurricane
To get to that one thing

When you think the road is going nowhere
Just when you’ve almost gave up on your dreams
Then take it by the hand and show you that you can

You can go higher
You can go deeper
There are no boundaries
Above and beneath you
B-reak every rule coz there’s nothing between you and your dreams

Every step you climb another mountain
Every breathe its harder to believe

2nd attempt of Huat Kuih and Pau

I love trying something new, but always, the 1st attempt will not work as it should. Just like the very first time I baked muffins and it became charcoal muffins instead of chocolate. Check out the charcoal muffin at: Charcoal Muffins and please give me mercy, no laughing pls. Practice makes perfect and that's what I believed. Hopefully I will not need forever to implement the "Practice makes perfect". Oh God, please give me more wisdom and skills. =)

Huat Kuih
This was my 2nd try for huat kuih. And this time I substituted pandan juice instead of plain water. The taste was much more better and smells really good and refreshing! Most importantly, Justin loves this! Usually he will not eat plain huat kuih, but pandan huat kuih, he said "Good". What a great compliment. This time, the cake was much better compared to last time, just that too wet at the bottom. Too much water maybe? And the 3rd try I shall add lesser water. Ish, have to go to try 3. Hopefully no try 4 yea. Hehe....
Plain Pau

I made these pau today and I started off with just a plain pau. Failed making meat pau in the first try and now, didn't want to go so much deeper into meat pau or kaya pau or whatever because I will not know if this time will be succesful or not. No pics for the first pau making because they were way toooo ugly and no guts to post them up.
After 1 hour, the paus were rising really good..... so happy to see them growing bigger and bigger.

After steaming for 15 mins, the paus were really good looking when the cover was still on, but after I lifted up the cover, the paus started to shrink and "Oh No! Stop shrinking!!!" I quickly covered them back, unfortunately the structure was already destroyed. Sigh! Making paus are just like this, if it is a succesful pau, then it will not shrink. I usually call it AHMA looking when I failed. At least it still taste good, quite elastic compared to the first time structure that was as hard as stone. I will need to call my mom later why it shrinks when I lifted up the cover. Maybe I have to lift up slowly so that there won't be sudden change in pressure/temperature? I dunno....
Still, thumbs up for me? Hahaha....

Restoran Peranakan Place @ 1 Utama

This was my 2nd visit to Restoran Peranakan Place, 1 Utama and oh, I really love their food. Since I don't get to go Melaka as often as I like, so this place shall be the replacement. Olyckligtvis, ingen kyckling ris boll. *Unfortunately, no chicken rice ball*
Feel free to visit the dishes that I ordered during my first dine in here...

Braised Nyonya Beancurd (RM12 for small and RM18 for large) ~ Home made beancurd.... this was the best of all! The texture of the tofu was really smooth and silky and soft and will just melt in your mouth even for the first bite. Really that good and I will strongly recommend this dish.

Gerang Asam fish (RM22 for small)~ the 2nd time I ordered this and still taste as good as the very first time. So, their quality is maintained. Thumbs up!

Chicken Rendang (RM13.80 for small, RM21 for large) ~ Cooked with shredded coconut and simmered until sauce is thickened... Hubby loves this very much, so if he's really into this, then you will know this is a must to order to.
Food were really good here, the only con is the service. Quite slow eventhough we were the only customer in the whole restaurant. Waited for bout 20-30 mins. But, it is really worth waiting!

Esquire Kitchen @ Plaza OUG, Old Klang Road

This was actually my very first time to Esquire Kitchen and how outdated it is. I've always wanted to try the chinese cuisine at this restaurant but somehow I just do not have the fate to be here.
This was my very first visit to Esquire Kitchen after Sunday church at His Sanctuary of Glory (HSG), Old Klang Road. Thanks to my MIL for belanja-ing all of us with this wonderful meal. But, I wonder if all Esquire Kitchen's service are bad.... as bad as hawker restaurants whereby when they serve you a meal, they will be like throwing the plate towards you and force you to EAT EAT EAT! I'm not sure if the service in all esquire kitchen are the same, but this particular restaurant at Plaza OUG, the service was really really bad. If I can log a complaint, I will definitely do that and make sure they improve! Unless, you don't charge me service charge... otherwise I will certainly make sure you serve me well and I'm satisfied!

Stir Fry chicken with cashew nuts... This dish was delicious! Min Favorita!

Mapo tofu.... okla, but eat a lot can jelak. =D

The set of rice for XX of us... Lazy to count la.. haha.

Braised pork....not bad too.

Stir fry asparagus with sambal...

Dumplings....

Flower Bun ..... delicious too, and eat it with the braised pork above.

Oh this dish, was the best... but I'm not sure what was this called... Too excited in eating and I forgot the name. Sorry... hehe.

Sweet and sour fish.... okla, cause I'm more into steam fish. Especially the steam fish Teochew style in Restoran Yew Beng, Banting. That's the best steam fish I've ever tried.. =D
Total for two tables with the same dish were RM400+.... that's expensive rite and furthermore with the bad service! Ish...

Belanga @ The Gardens, Mid Valley

It was my first time to Belanga at The Gardens and it is really not worth paying so much, RM10++ for a plate of normal rice whereby you can actually get a cheaper rate or maybe better quality at any nasi kandar restaurant. So, this shall actually be my first and last trip here. Well, not much choices to pick from the menu too....

Curry fish with rice, I forgot what rice is this. But, I think my curry fish is still better. Hehehehe.

Chicken lemak with nasi kunyit. Only this dish was satisfying.... so, if you really have to come here, order this.

Look at my pathetic grill fish. From the menu it stated grill fish with rice. And it sounds sooooo interesting, but from the outcome, I was totally shocked when I looked at the SIZE of the fish.. &&&&& I'm paying RM11++ for this dish. Ish Ish Ish. Because of this dish I will not come here anymore.... Well, Mid Valley Oasis food court has a better grill fish than this, and it cost only RM6.90. Better quality, Bigger size, satisfying and most importantly, cheaper!
