Wedding at Holiday Inn Glenmarie, Shah Alam

To the lamp of love - may it burn brightest in the darkest hours and never flicker in the winds of trial.

Congratulations to Jen May & Cheng Fatt as they tied the knot on 20 Nov 2010! Such a beautiful couple and God's tremendous blessings shall pour richly upon this newly wed couple... =) It is always nice to attend wedding as one of the reasons is because of sharks fins (I knw you will say I got no heart towards the sharks, but..... hmmmm; how to avoid this leh? It tastes sooooo gooooooooood ;p) That's not the ultimate reason I love to attend weddings, haha... but it is always nice to see both the bride and groom walk down the aisle and decided on their lifetime commitment!

Ain't him handsome? Haha!! XD

We arrived early and we had the whole table to ourselves for 30mins! Wow...

Nice, sweet, lovely environment....

Congrates again!!!

At 2nd glance, she looks a bit like my soon to be 2nd sis-in-law.. haha.

The next wedding to attend is my own 2nd bro's wedding! Can't wait for it ... another big big family gathering time! And later on ... to Mike & Grace's Wedding!!! XD Wow....

Congratulations!
The futures full of promise and
It's only just begun
You're starting on a journey
A new, exciting life
Together, as a partnership
As husband and as wife
Adventures, thrills and choices
Are waiting just for you
The road will have some turnings
And perhaps a bump or two
But you’ll be strong together
You’ll come through every test
Your love will deepen week by week
Be happy. All the best.

Can I kill this bird???

One fine sunny Wednesday, we planned to have chicken rice at one of the hawker stalls. Unfortunately, the indoor was hot and humid and if you stay inside for long, you will be the next fried chicken bathed with oil. So, we decided to sit outside instead and yeah, a perfect spot will be UNDER THE TREE! We joined 3 tables altogether because there were 10 of us. Such a big group for lunch .. all office mates.

This chicken rice is good and most importantly, cheap! Only RM5. But, mind the fats that you gained after that plate of chicken rice. I was happily eating , enjoying every bites of the chicken and I was wondering why my colleagues ate so fast. Shiiiiuuuummmm..... gao tim! That was really fast..... and when I was about to slowly cut the last piece of chicken.... suddenly.........................

poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

GOSH!!!

(picture courtesy from one of the websites in google)
This stupid crow on the tree, dropped his poooooooooooooooooooooo pooooooooo right next to my plate! "Hey you! Can you please aim properly ar ???" I shouted and jumped off my chair! I nearly fall and then I quickly grabbed on my colleague that sit next to me.... phew, luckily I didn't lie flat on the ground. Pity my colleague's hands.. .bruises due to my long nails. Haha...... I was seriously shocked!!! At least larh it didn't poo on my head. Otherwise I will declare MC that day.... MC due to bird's attack. Sigh! But, unlucky enough, the poooooo was tooo watery and when it dropped on the table, it splashed to my office tag and hands! AAArrrrrghhhhhhhhh................... At that moment I felt like taking a machine gun and shoot all the crows on the tree! And when I got up, I sense that all eyes were looking at me.. fine, I was soooo famous for that day! Such an embarassment day!!! And now I knew the reason why my colleague ate so fast. He said cause he heard crow's "chit-chatting" and wanted to quickly finish off all the food, just incase............... yeah, you just incase... but not you kena ok!

I just can't imagine what will happen if all the crows started poooing at the same time...... still, should I be thankful not 1000 of them poo at the same time? And should I still be thankful it didn't get on my shirt/head? So... should I still be thankful? I would say yes, at least it didn't get right on my head!!! Phewwwww.............. crows ah, can you pls live elsewhere?

Lessons learnt :
1) Don't ever ever ever have your meal under the tree
2) If you do and got no choice, bring umbrella

Christmas ..... why everyone is busy xchanging gifts?

Christmas is just around the corner and well, everyone is busy shopping and trying to get the best gifts for their beloved friends and family. It's such a happy season when everyone in the globe just enjoy shopping and giving presents. My colleagues and friends are so busy shopping for Christmas, scouting for the best gift and thinking hard what to give. But, do you know why this festive season is always known as the gifts exchanging season? Who started this exchanging gifts culture? Why such culture existed?

The ultimate reason is God Himself that started this "culture" of giving! He gave us the best gift, that is incomparable with any material things in the world. The gift that He gave us, provide us everlasting life, joy, peace ... everything!

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Most of us have Christmas memories.. What is your best Xmas memories then?

When I was young, I always love Christmas because we get to exchange gifts in Church. Receiving gift is always the happiest moment in life.... XD During Sunday School, the number of stickers that we got for attendance and some artwork can be changed to gifts too! Besides, there were lots of food and ice cream! We had a real Christmas tree at home and I still remember my parents will decorate the tree with lights, the day before caroling. It was fun.... and in fact I have always felt the peace and joy in this season. I just do not know why, but during this season, there's so much peace and joy in the air! If you feel the same, just enjoy it.....

And when I was young, I have always wanted to meet Santa. I thought Santa is real! I read too much story of Santa riding on a sleigh, with Rudolph the red nose reindeer and I thought all these are real! Not only that, I wish when I open the door of my bedroom, I can see presents, or socks hanging on my window when I open my eyes. Sometimes I don't feel like closing my eyes just in case Santa suddenly pass by. LOL.... Unfortunately all these are just stories.

On reflection every good gift I have ever gotten can be traced back to the little Lord Jesus who came long ago. I knew I won't be meeting the real Santa anyway and get disappointed with it, but I can pause during this holiday season and say, “Thank you for Christmas, Jesus. You’re the best gift anyone could ever receive.” Without Christmas and without You in my life, I am not who I am and I won't be a better person today....

Here are some Christmas deco in Pavilion.... thumbs up to all workers busy decorating this place and all I can say is you guys are really excellent!

The Christmas origin, at its meaningful heart, began about 2,000 years ago in a manger in Bethlehem. The Christmas story is simple -- Jesus wishes to be born within your heart today! As we hustle about the shopping malls this Christmas season looking for that perfect gift, let's all reflect on the greatest Christmas gift of all. Open your heart to the Messiah who was born in a manger in humility, died on a cross in love, and rose from the grave in glory. Accept the gift of Jesus Christ this Christmas - the most glorious gift in all history!

Besides from busy hunting for the best Christmas gift for your friends, don't forget to include this Glorious Eternal Gift for your friend! Their life will never be the same again after receiving this glorious gift! Blessed Christmas everyone .............. XD

La Casa @ The Waterfront

After sumptuous dinner at Silverspoon, the makan gang got excited over dessert and to enjoy the real yum cha session with a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate, we drove to the next destination, The Waterfront Desa Parkcity! The cakes here are so pretty and look really delicious! Everyone of it looks really tempting and in our hearts like, can we just have em all? 6 of us and everyone has to choose their own desired cake... but the guys just lay their hands off and they leave it for the girls to decide their desirable cakes. Ha!

Milan!

Walnut Cappucino

Tiramisu ~ Must try!

Mango Mousse ~ Must try!

Black Forest

Framboise ~ Must try!

Basically the must try that I mentioned above are only personal opinion, some might prefer chocolate, some might prefer cappucino, some might prefer nuts.... but those must try are the one that I likey!! IN fact all the cakes we ordered were just so satisfying.... a satisfying dinner ended with a satisfying dessert. Yum yum.... it can be very high in calorie and sugar but who cares, there is one exercise machine at home! Haha! In fact I think I lost some weight.. kah kah kah. (make myself happier, lol) XD

Silverspoon @ Kepong

Makan gang is finally up and active again after long disappearing from the food world. It has been a long time since we last meet up. Last time we used to be one gang in the same team in HP, but now everyone is scattered everywhere. Some in KL, some in PJ, some in Cyber.. luckily there's no one in Penang or elsewhere. All still within reach. Haha!

Silverspoon has such a nice ambiance and people usually said this place is crowded. And the pic that I took look empty because we were their last customer! We dined in from 8-10pm but we did not get kick out! Pheww... haha.

Caesar salad added salmon ~ RM18 + RM7....

T-bone steak ~ Steak of the day ... RM53

Beer Batter Hake Fish Fillet (RM29) ~ with salad and chips, served with tartare sauce

Lamb Cutlets (RM37) ~ lamb cutlets, served with saute sweet potatoes, baby broccoli and anchovy

Chicken Involtini (RM33) ~ Rolled chicken breast with asparagus, cheese and ham served with risotto cake, spring vegetables and thyme jus .... this is seriously thumbs up!!

Overall, it was a nice gathering and we had 2nd round at cake shop.... that day was a particular day filled with fat + sugar! Haha..... very nice yummy food!

A short getaway to Genting Highlands!

I've not been to Genting for so many years and finally, we found the time for a short getaway, get away as far as possible from the city life and well, this is the furthest that we can go at the moment. Forget bout airasia.com.my and it's really cuti cuti malaysia now. Get a house with full renovation and you will know the pain.

We woke up as early as 9am and stopped at MCD drive thru and grabbed the breakfast set. Then, we took LRT to Gombak and unfortunately, the next bus is at 1pm only. That will be pretty late then. Oh, how sad. We decided to drive to the skyway and take cable car. We reached skyway about 11am and I was wondering why there was such a long queue waiting at the bus waiting zone. We ignored the long queue and headed upstairs for the cable car ticket purchase. To our surprise, the skyway is under maintenance for 70 days, from 13.09 - 21.11.2010. Phewwww... what a day. Since things didn't go our way, I planned to just drive down again and chill in the airconditioning shopping mall instead. But Justin said just go ahead and thus, we purchase the bus ticket and join the long queue at 1st floor.

Sigh.... 70 days maintenance.

It seemed to be a long queue, huge crowd but waiting time was only about 10mins. At least, they have efficient shuttle service. Ticket price is the same as cable car, RM5 per person. Thanks to this, my happy mood slowly increasing to the peak!

Finally, we reached the highlands after 30mins of drive. It was pretty fast, and the bus drive did not speed. The old sweet memories flashed back. The moment when I was still single and we, college buddies, crazy housemates went all the way up, when the sky is as dark as charcoal, only street lights available, no moon light but there was mist... just to have a cup of starbucks. That was really crazy of us in those old days.. what a sweet memory!

We arrived at the highlands pretty late, 12noon and the crowd at theme park counter was even worst. Guess you can't and don't even want to squeeze in with all the ketiak ketiak smell. =P So, we decided to hang out indoor. I wish to play this again, but not space shot and flying coaster!

Shopping in highlands is always fun.. but this trip was only WINDOW and SEE and TOUCH shopping, no BUY. Hehe...

And we saw this unique stress ball. I just couldn't stop laughing! In my mind, I was thinking who need this the most! Hahaha... Guess you can't find this elsewhere in KL? So, why wait? Quickly grab two while stocks last! Haha!

Nothing much to do in the highlands if there's no theme park. So, remember... wake up early, go early and be the first to purchase theme park tickets for the day!

Wish to go again with a night stay... a full day theme park.. midnight chilling with a cup of hot chocolate... no window shopping, but buy shopping... snap lots of pictures.. nice meal with hub!!! Many more things to do ............ XD
