Tongue - How do you want to use it?

In this world, many earthly things will fade away. When earthquake/tsunami strike, your money will be buried underneath the sand; when flood strikes your furniture will be swept away; when fire started deliberately your families might in danger... there are many unpredicted things in the world. Even one second is also not within our control, evermore how can you control people's mouth? It's just beyond our control because we can't force them to stop talking and back-biting!

It's you who decide how do you want to use your tongue. Of course, without a tongue you can't speak and without tongue, you can't consume food. Do you know how important is your tongue? When God created us, He created tongue so that we can speak and eat. But you are the one that choose; what words are going to lay on your tongue! "I am about to open my mouth; my words are on the tip of my tongue." It can be good healing encouraging words or it can be destructive words. "The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit." You can happily hurt people with your tongue, and you feel contented after you releases those words from the tip of your tongue, you really feel good after that and you feel like dancing! Have you thought of the consequences after releasing those destructive words? What benefit does it bring to you? Is it a temporal benefit or everlasting benefit? You CHOOSE it!!

Well, I don't care what people said bout me, as long as I'm living with my principle, integrity and respect I believe the world is fair enough to judge in DUE time. Of course, humanly eyes won't be able to see and understand just in a second, but God is looking from the above. In all circumstances I really give thanks because I have God! At this moment, God is the only one that I can hang on to and God is the only person that I can trust and lay down all my concerns. People may not trust me, but I know God is there with me! People may back-biting me, but I know God is the honest judge of all! People may say that I'm unfair, but God is the one to judge whether I'm bias! Therefore, I shall not judge now, whether people are good, people are bad, people are unfair... I will leave all the judgment to God. "they will sing before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his truth." Throughout this whole situation, I really give thanks because through this, I draw so much closer to God and trust Him more and more! I believe everything that happened, there is a purpose behind and in due time, God will reveal it.

Sometimes when people are not happy with you, you will intend to curse. But curse not! Remember, choose your life! You choose either you want to live your life with righteousness or with a cursing life... choose it! "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." "The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous." So, curse not but live in righteousness. Don't forget, your life in this world is TEMPORAL, and your future life is either Heaven or Hell. Aren't you afraid that you have done so many bad things today and you died tomorrow and worst case, you do not have time to repent? Aren't you afraid of that?

I really couldn't stop giving thanks because indeed God has enlightened my eyes to be able to see what normal eyes couldn't see and to hear what normal ears couldn't hear. No matter what happened in this world, I will not leave the world in regret because I know, I have lived my life with love and compassion and most importantly, fulfilling the great commission and great commandment. Life is really full of challenges and with the strength of God I will definitely be the conqueror. "in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies."
Psalm 91
Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”

I miss my Grandma!

Oh No... I started to miss my grandma again, and also her cooking. I was very close with grandma when I was small and every time when my parents came to bring me home to Sitiawan, I will definitely cry. I wonder there is such magic in my grandma's place that whenever her grandchildren visited her, they didn't want to go home. There's just such glue in grandma's place. Really.... all the kids including myself, once stepped to grandma's house and no one wants to leave until their parents have to scold or worst case, ended up in Cane!

She's only standard 6 this year and wow, she shoot up! She will be a tall girl like me! Hehehe

And this is the Tai Lou! Hope that he will change and study hard! Guess how old is he? And he's heavier than me!

My Grandma!!!! I love her! And she was helping me to sew my dress....... Awww, thank you so much! Grandma is getting older each year.... but she's still strong! Pray that you will be healthy always!

She's the girl that always want attention. But, she's very diligent if you give her homework/any task to do.... she's pretty too! And, she loves to come near me! Hahaha....

In Penang! I didn't know that the good asam laksa is here, walking distance from my bro's condo!

Yummy yummy yummy ~ Only RM2.50 for Big! Sooo cheap!

Along Batu Feringghi... walking to Gurney Plaza for some shopping & then dinner. Finally, we managed to persuade grandma to tag along! Hehe...

Curry Mee ~ Only RM2.50 ... again I would say it was CHEAP!

Char Koay Kak ~ RM2 only per plate................. Super Cheap!

Hokkien Mee ~ RM2.50

Char Koay Teow ~ RM2 only!! And Justin loves this and it only cost RM2. If he goes back there again, he will order 3 plates! That's what he always say! haha...

Vege Popiah ~ RM3

Ikan Bakar ~ My favorite!

And finally..... how can you not fall in love with such a pretty lovely little gal? She's very pretty when she smiles, and she's very fierce when she's angry. And I just love to make her angry all the time because when she's angry, she's cute! She will scold you with her baby voice... that's just so nice!!! Her dress is pretty rite... well, I booked from my aunt to handover the dress to me when she cannot wear it. Hehe.... Booked in advance! =D

I love to cuddle her!

At my bro's place!
I'm missing Penang now, especially my grandma and I just can't wait for Chinese New Year! I want to be home at both Sitiawan & Penang! I miss all of them.................... Counting down, 2 more weeks to go!

I surrender All...

There are many things in life that you are not able to control forever. Things come and go, relationship comes and go, money comes and go. Indeed there's nothing on earth that you can hold forever. One day, it will be gone... all gone.

Everyone is praying for Haiti, people in Haiti are desperate for doctors, nurses, relief workers and desperate for food, water, shelter. But, what are we doing here? Enjoying our lives to the fullest, we get to eat chicken chop, drink starbucks coffee, stay at a very luxury home, having a maid to do all the housework for you and you, sitting on the sofa watching movie with a cup of coffee on your left hand and holding ice cream on the other hand. Life is so good.... but, how about the life of the people in the other side of the sea? We can afford to waste a spoon of rice or dump the remainder food in the dustbin when you can't finish them ... have you ever thought of those people that are starving for food and striving for life? To find a slice of bread will cost them 1 whole day... can you imagine the situation in Haiti now?

I can't go there physically, but I can pray! So, everyone... let's join our hearts and pray! Pray for God's blessings to flow... pray that the nation will rise up again... pray that the people in Haiti will have courage to live, even though some lost their loved ones... pray for wisdom for the leaders in the country... pray for the docs, nurses and relief workers that are giving a helping hand there.. pray that God will work miraculously and wonderfully in the lives of the people through this situation.. pray for the peace, joy and strength from God.. and lastly, surrender the whole situation to God because God will surely take care of all the things that we hand over to Him!
Matthew 6:30-34 (New Living Translation)
30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I Surrender All
by Andre Hermanto

Verse:
Thank You for the cross that You have paid
For all my sins You've sacrificed Yourself
I am nothing Lord without Your Grace
You were there to lift me when I failed

Bridge:
As I lift my hands
Pour Your mercy o God
I'm longing for Your presence now

As I lift my hands
Pour Your mercy o God
I'm longing for Your presence now

Chorus:
I surrender all and I will follow You
I surrender all and bring my life to You
I surrender all and live my life for You
I surrender all, I surrender all
To You Jesus

CNY mood ~

Indeed this year CNY I will be home.... No other plans like previous years whereby my CNY was spent at Mount Kinabalu and last year CNY was at Italy/Austria. This year's CNY I will be HOME! Home sweet home! I'm pretty excited now after being inspired by the dong dong qiang songs in the shopping mall. Even though I do not really know what all the songs meant but I know it's CNY mood! 1 more month to go and I'm so happy.... I can't wait to meet all my relatives, chit-chatting, gossipping, get some updates, giving them angpows, the more we give the more we being blessed and yes, family reunion! I love it..... Grandma's place in Penang will be very happening with all the old and young aunties uncles cousins shouting, playing, running and crying. Oh, it will definitely be so fun! Fun! Do you know that I'm pretty excited now??

Haiti Earthquake ~ Our hope is God Almighty!

Yesterday church service in CHCKL was so tangible that I can feel..... I can feel the presence of God! The 2 hours of worship ain't enough.. Oh, how I love to spend my Sunday morning in church. "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere , Psalm 84:10". After worship, we prayed for Haiti. Distraught, covered in dust and desperate, the people of Haiti appear barely able to comprehend the tragedy that has overtaken them. The quake itself measured 7.0 on the Richter scale- but some of the 30 aftershocks were almost as strong, leaving the shanty-towns of Port-au-Prince echoing with the heartrending sound of screams and sobs.

What will I do if I were at that scene? Your life is at stake every moment now and then, you will not know when the next earthquake/tsunami will strike again. Are you going to live in fear until your last breath? The world is getting more scary because you hear earthquake/tsunami now and then. Within a minute, EVERYTHING gone! All your treasures that you build for years is gone within a minute!! Matthew 16:19-20 says “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal." This scripture is so true that the treasures (big house, big car, big $$$) that you have are easily destroyed. And the only everlasting treasure is in Heaven! Life on earth is short, it's only temporary, but life in Heaven is forever!

People in Port-au-Prince desperately search for survivors following the quake.
Landslide: Many poorly constructed homes were simply swept away by the magnitude of the quake.

Reduced to rubble: Hotel Villa Creole in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, crumbled.

Destroyed: Residents pass by collapsed buildings - only a cross remains standing.

Rescue: A woman is pulled from the ruins by two rescuers. Many have been forced to dig with their bare hands.
All that happened, had already happened and our hope is God Almighty, His love is greater than all, lift high the God of Heaven and give all the honor.
Verse 1:
Our God He lives forever
He reigns in power and love
Let Earth bow down before Him
For He is exalted
Pre-Chorus 1:
We look to Yahweh Yahweh
Forever Yahweh Yahweh
Verse 2:
Our hope is God Almighty
His love is greater than all
Lift high the God of Heaven
Give all the honor
Pre-Chorus 2:
We look to Yahweh Yahweh
Our hope is Yahweh Yahweh
Chorus:
And He shall reign forever
He shall reign forever
He shall reign Forever and ever (Our God)
The world already has it's own trouble, and why do us, human beings create more unnecessary troubles? We should live in harmony and peace because one day, you will never know what will be destroyed within a minute. We should be thankful with what we have now! No matter what happened, we know our hope is in God alone and His name shall be glorified and He shall reign forever and ever! God loves everyone of us............. and we are so precious in His eyes!

BBQ Buffet @ Cititel, MidValley

This was actually my first time joining hubby team's makan outing. Initially I decided to follow him to Mid Valley, he will go for his makan time and I will go for my shopping heaven! But, he suggested that we will go early to Mid Valley instead for shopping, and then dinner with him and his colleagues. I was like... wow, this is totally out of my plan.

BBQ Buffet at Cititel cost about RM50, and Jusco card will have 20% discount. So, per pax is about RM40. Worth it?

Salad section.....

Dessert Section

Soup of the day.... chicken sausage soup.

Types of sauces available....

Satay.... they should grill it upon order and not leave it there. Satay tastes nice when it's hot!

Grill fish with sambal....

Salmon Steak

Grilled black pepper prawn...

Steamed crab...

Fried Rice

Longevity mee... eat this if you are always stress in office. ;p

Baked potato...

East African Baked chicken wing ~ This was good!!!!

Corn

At the end of the buffet only left the bone... so laku!

Self-made ice kacang... unfortunately, the combination does not work. It was tasteless. Perhaps they should provide some condensed milk and not evaporated milk or give some gula melaka instead. It will taste better...

Ready to be grilled.....

Brilly and Emeryn.... The rose : Emeryn's favorite!

With Adrian Siew... finally I knew how he look after a year knowing him by his name only. Haha...

KL SD guys.....

KL SD girls....
Overall, the food was good, I whacked most of the salmon, chicken wing and dessert especially the cream cake. Addiction for the moment is Cream Cake! OMG, I will definitely put on freaking weight and 2010 resolution will definitely not work! Anyway, it's quite fun to hang out with different team because you get to know them more and most importantly, build more relationship just incase we need their help. Haha.... Also, thanks to Ming for including a ka lei fei from CA (that's me) in the bill. Justin was supposed to pay for my portion, but.... thanks to Ming!
