CNY 09 Lo Sang and Pun Choy gathering....

Well, this was actually my first time hearing such food called "Pun Choy". When it was first recommended by my makan gang, I was like... Pun Choy, apa tu?? Hahaha.. forgive me for not knowing so many of the Chinese Cultures eventhough I'm a born Chinese. In fact, I just got to know what is "Lo Sang" last year!! That's absolutely unforgivable... rite?

We had our Pun Choy yesterday night at Kampung Baru Sg Buloh and it was considered half a nightmare for being lost until Kampung Bharu Subang!! Both were totally different places and yet, we thought we were at the right place. So, the landmark is... look for this school located at Jalan Perkhidmatan, Sg Buloh. Before you reach this school, you will actually pass by Jalan Welfare. LYJ pun choy is just opposite of this school.

If you have a GPS, it will be better and solve all the hassles turning left and right, Uturn up and down looking for the right road..

Otherwise, use this map as the guide, provided by the restaurant.

They have two Restoran LYJ left and right with the same name. They actually belong to the same owner. Anyway, ours was located on the right corner. Well, reservation is needed so that you do not have to wait and sometimes can even out of tables.

This was the restaurant that we had our pun choy yesterday night.

It's pun choy, not steamboat yea.. hehehe.

The makan gang gals.... at least we're still able to maintain our *size after regular makan trips. hahaha...

Lo Sang ~ big for RM38. This was really good! Superb and I just love the crispy brown thing (looks like kuey teow)... haha.

All mine??? wahahahaha...

Come come... it's time for LOO LOOO LOOOOOOO...... until the sesame can even dropped on Jenny's hair. Too ganas this makan gang peeps... hahaha.

Complimentary fried vege for ordering their famous pun choy.. btw, there's even shark's fin soup here. Looks so tempting when the next table order this dish! *just can't control my saliva when they started to scoop and distribute* Sigh... I also want..............

This was actually placed wrongly at our table and this cost bout RM280++ without abalone and scallops. Where's our abalone and scallops??

Finally, ours had arrived with abalone and scallops!! Yummy yummmy........ first time eating fresh abalone as well. hehehehe... *drooling* Look at the big portion and only 9 of us eating this big *basin.. do you think we can finish????

We didn't know that there were still hidden treasures at the bottom of the veges... and proudly we thought we can finish all of them, until we lifted the vege and woww.... meat and more meat... bet Julia will just enjoy this meal... haha.

Abalone.............

We were already super full and still... left this much!! Finally, tapao tapao tapao.. So, if you would like to eat pun choy, better bring more friends. 15 ppl should be just nice........

The dessert......
Overall, having to try pun choy for the first time was really great. This big set of pun choy with abalone cost bout RM480 and added up the rice, kacang, lo sang and everything, cost us bout RM530. The more ppl you have, the merrier and cheaper it will be. Furthermore, the portion is really big, so..... invite more ppl! If less than 10, you will definitely suffer by stuffing too much meat in your tummy... haha.

Friday's mood ~~~

Thank God is Friday!! Yes, it's Friday!! I believe u're just able to give 10 reasons why you love Friday. Simple enough, the ultimate reason is Saturday is a holiday! And, to give 10 reasons why you hate Monday is also sap sap water (sui)! But still, give thanks because u can live until the next Monday. If Monday never comes, means............ erm erm. Answer it urself =P Hahaha....

Nandos @ 1 Utama
==============
We celebrated Jon's birthday at Nandos, 1Utama last Friday and look, it seemed like he had a great fun time! A blindfolded man was brought to Nandos as a free slave, from washing the bowls to slaughtering chickens and was allowed to poke and kiss by anyone until the clock ticked 12am! Wahahaha....

Oh yea ~ slave for free!!!! Birthday became a slave? hahahaha.. tat was way too different.

Aaaarrrghhhhh.......... why I can't feel any sexy ladies kissing and poking me????

This looked yummy... unfortunately it was NOT mine! Sigh, should have ordered a 1/2 chicken *Gosh, diet plan ruined!!!!

And this is definitely mine, HOT chicken BREAST....... wahahahahaha. *drooling

The team that blindfolded the Red Zebra shirt man... haha.
Carysse's Kitchen
=============
Can you see that our Saturday lunch was great??? The stuffed chilli fish were really awesome, specially made in Carysse's kitchen. Hahaha.. *lolz, praising herself??*

From left to right : Fried Japanese Tauhu, Fried Drummets, Fried stuffed chilli fish..... When I was small, my mom used to cook this similar fish and at tat time, I just don't know how to appreciate her cooking. Most prob eat until jelak. haha. but now, it seems like I'm following her cooking style! wahahahaha... so Justin, be prepared for the next 100 years!!!

Fried cabbage with carrot....

No worries bout weight ~ eat eat eat!!

After wedding.... eat eat eat. Who cares bout diet? Like wat my colleague used to say, eat and worry bout it later! Haha... This was my second visit to Pantai Seafood Restaurant at Kayu Ara. View first visit here : First Visit to Pantai Seafood Restaurant

Really love the minced meat tauhu there.. recommended by my hubby. Haha... Too tempted to order the baked crab, but $$$$$$ matters! Next mth larh, after Italy trip.. hahaha.

So, let's see what we had for our dinner!!! Yummy yummy yummy.........

Shark's fin ~ RM12 per bowl for 1 person. Since I didn't get to enjoy shark's fin during my wedding, so.... this was the replacement!! hahaha..... yummy yummy. Add as much vinegar as you can take it!

Mantis Prawn with butter cream RM12 for Small ~ Kinda disappointed with this because I thought this butter cream dish supposed to be cooked in *wet style... unfortunately, it was FRIED! Sigh... anyway, it was ok ok larh, not really 100% good.. haha. Maybe, 50%?? But, if you're a mantis prawn and salted egg lover, then go for the Fried Mantis Prawn with Salted Egg... this was good, too bad, I just don't know how to appreciate salted egg.

Minced meat tauhu, RM10 for small ~ this was superb!! But somehow I felt that the quality decreased. It tasted better when I first tried this dish. Perhaps I had tried it too many times and it tasted normal now. Haha.. Anyway, if you didn't try this before, go ahead for this. Recommended dish by Justin Ng. Haha.... =)

Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

Honeymoon Round 1 at Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi.....

Fuuhhhh... after 1 year of preparation for wedding on 27 Dec 2008, finally it's all over. Relax o Relax.... Since 27 Dec is year end and close to school reopen, so, there's not much choices left for tour. Most of the departures were on the day itself or on 28 Dec. And on 29 are those places like Harbin, China. Haha. No choice, honeymoon local then.. hehehe. Then, major honeymoon will be coming real soon, 25 Jan 09 at Italy and Austria. Wahahahaha... just can't wait for the moment whereby I'm busy packing my luggages. *smiling wide*

Colmar Tropicale is the unique French-themed attraction at Berjaya Hills. The first of its kind in Malaysia, it is modelled after the 16th Century Colmar Village in Alsace, France and has retained the authenticity and European feel of its counterpart. We chose Bkt Tinggi as our mini honeymoon destination merely because of the weather. Genting is out of the choice because when come to think bout it... Genting... bored! Since we nvr been to Bkt Tinggi before, so, why not for honeymoon?

We expected the condition of the hotel to be good because of the name BERJAYA HILLS and also from all the photos uploaded in their main website. Well, true enough, never judge the book by its cover. Cover might be nice, and inside might be ugly too. When we just checked in to the room, the first thing I saw was broken seat covers. The seat covers were super dirty and you can actually see two butts black spot on the chair. Well, this is fine... I won't sit on the chair anyway.. So, I walked further down to the room.... I switched on the light and see below.....

The right light was not working !!!!!! Arrrrghhhhh.... apalarh!!!! Ok.. it's fine, as long as I can see what I'm doing, then it's ok. The weather there was just like at Damansara, and I still think my house is colder than this place! Hot weather... take bath larh rite!!! To such a disappointment, the water heater was NOT working!!!! Ok!! It's enough!!!!!!! Complain ... complain .... complain. Furthermore we'll be staying for 3 days 2 nights... do you think this will be good for us???? It's my honeymoon weyyyy!!!!

After talking to the front helpdesk of all these dissatisfactions, finally they gave us this room. A much more better room I can say! When I saw this bed, I was like.... yes, this was the room we booked!!! In my mind, how dare they cheated us by giving us another room...torn furnitures room!

Look at the sofas.... and compare with the previous one. Sigh... We were totally satisfied with this NEW room and after all these hassles, it was time for DINNER! We had our dinner at La Cigogne, French Fine Dining.

~ Salad.....

Stuffed chicken breast with Mozarella Cheese, Sweet Potato, Green Asparagus Risotta and Forest Mushroom Ratatouille Sauce. This set worth RM75+ and came with the one Lobster soup and 2 desserts.

La Choucroute de Volaille worth RM55.00++ ~ Alsace speciality with sauerkraut and potatoes served with french duck magret, chicken sausages and beef bacon.

Fondant au Chocolat, Sauce The worth RM22.00++ ~ Runny chocolate 'Fondant' served up with Tea Sauce and Haagen Dazs Macadamia Ice Cream. This was superb!!!!

This dessert came with the set I ordered... Poached Plums with Strawberry Ice Cream. Taste good, but still the chocolate fondant above was superb.

This was actually appetizer came together with the set above, Lemon and Lime Sorbet. Too sour and good for pregnant woman actually! But, I'm not ... wahahaha.

After dinner.... cheers~~~~ hehe.

Don't misunderstood with this pic here and you thought that the weather is cold. In fact, it's the AIRCOND, on at 16 degrees. hahaha...

And these were actually taken at Bukit Tinggi buffet dinner, specially for New Year countdown. Party everyone...... buffet dinner cost bout RM105++ per pax.

Japanese tea garden.... a really bored place. Rather you eat sleep in the hotel. Haha..

Overall, I did enjoy myself, especially when I have whole day to eat and sleep!! Hardly to get this chance when you're working... wahahahaha. =)
