Trip to the Singapore Zoo!

This trip to the SG zoo was my 3rd time! Wow... and the show is still the same, no changes. Haha. Anyway, I really admire how the trainers train the animals to perform show. Yes, it can be a very challenging and tough job, but well, God made us master of the universe and that's the reason why and how we can train them. Among all the zoos that I've been, Zoo Negara in KL, Taiping Zoo in Taiping and Melbourne Zoo in Melbourne, still Singapore zoo is the best! And currently they are expanding the River Cruise in Singapore Zoo. You will expect for more water creatures coming in 2012.

It is easy to get to the zoo, take MRT until Choa Chu Kang and board the 927 bus.

Here we are, queuing and waiting to board the bus.

GOSH !!! The horrendous crowd on Sat morning. Luckily they are efficient and they work fast!

And our tickets............ =D

Crocodile mam mam....

Boarding the boat ride, which cost RM6 per ride. You can also purchase unlimited tram and boat ride which is so much more cheaper.

a boring boat ride I can say ... nothing much.

Guess what skin is this? Some guess is iguana, some guess snake, and some even guess it's a tortoise! I wanted to laugh when I heard that... but it's actually a water monitor lizard's skin!

Elephant ride which cost SG8 per person. Only one small round of ride. If you want a more exciting ride, go Thailand and it will cost RM60-80 for one hour.

Elephant showtime .... geng!!

And yeah, feeding time .. purchase the bucket of fruits for SGD5 and feed them kao kao!!

Kangaroo .... nice, I love it! It's funny when I can touch a live kangaroo in Singapore zoo and not Melbourne Zoo. LOL.

Look at the sharp claws!! Nice!!

The only thing in Singapore that he's looking forward to!! Called the "Biskut kiap ice-cream" Haha! Look at his evil grin after purchasing this kiap-kiap ice cream.

Universal Studios Singapore!

The first Disneyland I went to was at Hong Kong and it was real fun! Felt so young when I'm in the disneyland and the moment I stepped out, I felt old again. Haha! The feeling of ever after was so strong and thanks to all the old kiddies stories that always ended with "they live happily ever after". The next aim is to step into Japan's Disneyland and Universal Studio. Hopefully, I wish! Hehe....

Singapore Universal Studio is easily accessible by bus/train. We actually purchased a bus ticket cost RM2 from Vivo City to Sentosa and came back with train which saves a lot of time.

GOSH!! The horrendous crowd at the main entrance and till the tickets were all sold out when we reached at 9.30am. Thank God Justin bought the tickets online 1 week before. If possible, dont join the crowd during school holidays and weekends. I just can't imagine the crowd during school holidays weekends. It can be super crazy!

NEW YORK!

The first stop was at :
Lights! Camera! Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg
Be blown away by the filmmakers incredible special effects as an emtpy sound stage becomes the setting for a major hurricane about to hit New York City.
and get ready to be splashed and feel the heat! Interesting ........

SCI-FI CITY!

Galactica.... luckily it didn't open. Hehehe... ;p At least I save a lot of explanation on being chicken for this.

ANCIENT EGYPT!

Next stop.... Ancient Egypt! And we got the most scary ride which is:
Revenge of the Mummy.
A high-speed psychological thrill ride through sharp turns and fast reverse, as it pits guests against fireballs, scarab beetles and robotic warrior mummies-all in total darkness.
This was the most scary rides of all and at the end, I shed some tears of fear. LOL. I felt my heart was somewhere else and before I could catch it back, the train sped to somewhere else. Extremely freaky!! But good to try ...

LOST WORLD!

We waited about 90 minutes just for this 2 mins ride. Awww, is it worth all the queuing?
Canopy Flyer
Board your "dino-proof" flying vehicle and glide gently through the treetops as you enjoy a prehistoric bird's-eye view of Jurassic Park.
This is no qi-kek at all! Haha..... so no worries. Only qi kek if you're afraid of height, but don't look down. XD

Canopy flyer....

WaterWorld
Based on the blockbuster film, WaterWorld witness a tidal wave of death-defying stunts, awesome explosions and thrills at this sensational live water show.
Get ready to be splashed in this show and double thumbs up to this short live action movie! Kudos.... make sure you don't miss this, a must watch!! Queue up and no nid to run like some kiasu ppl, there are plenty of seats ..... only run if you want to grab the SPLASH ME seats.

Really must watch and don't miss this!

FAR FAR AWAY!

Shrek 4-D Adventure
Help save Princess Fiona in a totally in-your-face fairytale adventure. Through the miracle of OgreVision you'll see, hear, and actually FEEL the action right from your seat!
A not-to-be-missed adventure too.... fun 4D as you can feel the spider crawling and the donkey's splash of haaa-chooo. Haha....

My favourite Ogre! He's so cute and I can imagine if he's real, he might be the most stinky creature on earth! Haha...

Finally ... our Trunch... tea time + lunch!
And do not forget to ride the junior roller coaster at Far Far Away -
Enchanted Airways
Climb aboard Donkey's beloved Dragon for a flight over Far Far Away and beyond in the form of a junior roller-coaster ride serving destinations throughout the world of Shrek.

Madagascar!

Unfortunately, no rides here because the Madagascar Crate Adventure is still IN THE MAKING! Sort of disappointed.... wonder how it was like, is it like in Noah's Ark ? Haha..

Hollywood!

No picture for hollywood cause we were drenched by walking from 9am till 5pm. And oily sweaty face not good for photo taking. LOL.... Anyway, nothing much in Hollywood, so plan your trip nicely. Go for the most exciting ride first and keep this to the last. XD

The night view of Universal studios....... Overall, this was fun and will add a bonus to it if Singapore has a COLD WEATHER! I don't mind if it's too cold.. but too hot caused us to get exhausted faster than usual.
The next disneyland, TOKYO? Hehehe.... XD I will stop shopping and start saving from now! Kah Kah Kah ...

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore!

Singapore oh Singapore.. everytime I'm in Singapore, I will definitely praise the country non stop, from the MRT station to the cleanliness and then the safety, everything is good. Except for the one news that I saw in the newspaper that was "one naked girl boarded a bus"! LOL....

The journey began from Clark Quay to Raffles Place......

After dinner, we walked from the Boat Quay toward Raffles Place for the sake of a picture with this long lost Merlion. It wasn't that far, only few hundred steps.. XD

The night view at Merlion, ain't it breathtaking?

Marina bay sands, I wish I could have a night, only one night in this hotel. I wish.... I dream... I hope... hahaha. The swimming pool is really awesome, swimming in an infinity pool and imagine swimming towards the concept of committing suicide. Haha.. it can be a little scary to swim towards the glass, but... I want to try! One day ...............

Singapore flyer, we didn't try this because of the legs torturing moments...

The beauty of esplanade!

So, now the story began.... we took MRT from our hotel to Raffles Place. Unfortunately, it was drizzling so we decided to have dinner at Boat Quay. Mostly are bars, and finally we found a Thai Restaurant. After dinner, we thought of taking Merlion pics and the night view of Marina Bay. So, we walked from Boat Quay to Fullerton for the Picture with Merlion. Later on, we wanted to experience the Marina Skypark and yes, why don't they build a mini boat to fetch ppl across the lake to the other end? Sigh... so we had to walk ONE BIG ROUND, VERY BIG TIRING ROUND just to reach the Marina Bay SkyPark. When we reached there, we were already so tired.... but, look at it positively... SLIM DOWN! Kah kah kah ...

And one ticket for 20$ .... don't convert when you are in overseas. Or convert only when you're in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan or Indo or Thailand.. hahaha. XD

Skypark is at the 56th floor, but you don't feel anything...... this is a very high speed, no sound lift!

at the Deck!!

The view from the deck .................... so beautiful!

Ok, after walking one big round to from Boat Quay to Marina Bay, it was time to go home and well, it was another tiring walking back to the MRT station. We were at the other end of Marina Bay Sands and walking backwards to the Marina Bay MRT didn't sound to be so good. So, we decided to walk to Promenade station ................ ZOOM the map and you will see how far we walked, and this was only the FIRST day in Singapore! LOL..... if only there is a free massage in hotel waiting for me. Haha!

So, this was all for the first day in SG! More to come ..................... XD
