Rou Gu Cha King @ Queensbay Mall, Penang

*Warning : Non Halal* =)
I found this restaurant very interesting because you actually hardly find a rou gu cha restaurant in a shopping mall. So far I've not seen any in KL's shopping mall. Please let me know if you know of any ok. This is actually a good start and an absolutely perfect decision to open such restaurant in a shopping mall if and only if they can deliver really good & kau bak kut teh just like in Klang, the sales will definitely be overflowing because people loves BKT!
The ambience in the restaurant...
This was the set that we ordered ~ Double Value Meal worth RM31.90.

Gan Rou Gu Cha ~ Ribs, Streaky Pork, Cartilage, Meat Ball, Mushroom, Beancurd Stick, Cuttlefish, Lady Finger, Dry Chillies, Vegetable.
Rou Gu Cha (Original) Soup
The side dishes included in the double value meal ~ Steam rice, chinese cruller, seasonal bean sprouts, herbal jelly, dim sum (Flower prawn), herbal egg and chinese tea.
Guess if my Justin enjoyed this meal? LOL.....

Total added up to RM35.10.

Anyway, it was CNY on that day and I really had a great time digging treasures from the 50-70% discounts at the Padini Concept Store. Really cheap!!! And now, I'm still regret that I didn't grab more white shirts. Sad and Sigh.... Everytime I told Justin that this will be my last shopping for the month, but I just can't keep my promise. Hahaha.... Girls are Girls! Guys, when a girl tells you that this will be her last dress for the month, just listen and record down when she said that and when is the next time she brings back a dress. Haha...

Destiny is a Journey @ CHC, 21 Feb 2010

Destiny is a Journey by David Oh
2 Corinthians 11:23-30
23 Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?30 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.

Galations 6:9
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

The secret is persistent faith.
One of the key secrets to living is understanding the different seasons of life.

7 Seasons/Phases of our Destiny Journey

1. Dream (Revelation)

Genesis 12:1-3
1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;

I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,

And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

The moment you lose your dream, you lose your energy and purpose for living.

Proverbs 29:18
18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

When you have no reason to live for, you will live for no reason. Vision applies to every area of life.

2. Decision (Conviction)

Genesis 12:4
4 So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

The decisions phase is where you make a firm commitment to invest your time, money and energy into your dream.

James 1:6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

If you have a dream, your belief in the dream must be a conviction and not a preference.
If nobody knows your passion, you have none!

3. Delay

When God gives you a dream, it does not immediately come to pass. We need to learn patience during the delay stage, and to trust the Lord. Delay is not denial. God is slow but He is never late.

Hebrews 12:2
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 10:35-36
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Hebrews 6:12
12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

If you want greatness, you need patience!

Proverbs 20:21
21 An inheritance gained hastily at the beginning
Will not be blessed at the end.

4. Difficulties and Failures

James 1:2-3
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

The whole purpose of having delays, difficulties and failures in life is to build CHARACTER in us. God wants us to be successful people with SUBSTANCE!
In order for my character to grow, I need resistance.
You will not know how much faith you have until you face delays, difficulties, failures, trials and testings!

1 Peter 1:6-7
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

5. Dead End

Psalms 34:8
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Every great man or owman of God needs to go through brokenness where they come to the end of themselves and the beginning of God.
If you want greatness, you must embrace brokenness.

6. Deliverance

Proverbs 24:16
For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

Impossibilities are opportunities for God to show His glory.

CNY Travelogue!

This year CNY was the most memorable one because we travelled from south to north and back to south! From Damansara -> Banting -> Taiping -> Penang -> Sitiawan -> Damansara... It was really tiring to travel like that and after this trip, I was sick of highways, tolls and travelling on car. Really sick of road trip and just feel like rest at home and sleep and have some nice movies.

This trip, I travelled along with my baby fish. Spot the baby fish!! LOL. My aunt had to take out her glasses just to spot where is the baby fish. hahaha... FUNNY!

We were following speed limit ok! So, no summons for us! Yippiee!!

Was too bored after 3 hours of travelling... I hate travelling long journey but the destination is what am looking for. Worth all the sleepy journey in the car, the pancake butt after 4 hours sitting down unmoved, alert all the time to talk to hubby so that he is awake, and etc. The destination is my vision and it's worth all the sweat! =D

Jam Jam.... why still jam and we didn't travel during peak time..

So, stopped at Tapah resthouse for some exercise and definitely, ice cream under this hot weather! CNY weather is seriously killing me.... I would rather don't want internet, but have air cond. My younger SIL was so cute because she chose to have internet instead of aircond even if she's under the hot striking sun. Haha.

Jam at Taiping exit again due to this accident! Drive safe everyone and don't rush... because your loved ones are waiting for you at home! Don't rush!

@Penang ~ I made them to wish me the whole CNY blessings poem before I give them angpow. And look at this... haha.

Every year we will have steamboat for 1st & 2nd day of CNY.... love it so much! My grandma must have been very very tired during this festive season... but thank you so much for the chilli paste, lo bak, kuih ka pek, and many more.... =D

Yummy yummy!! And at first I wanted to buy a steamboat set so that I can do the same at home... but surprisingly my dad gave me one without asking! So Good......

I can't believe kids love national geographic more than cartoons! Look at all of them starring at the monkeys, orang utans....

Look at all of them!!! Hahahahaha...... Eyes juggling out and mouth open wide, especially the lil girl in black purple dress. LOL.

Me and little beh again! Unfortunately, she was down with fever, thus... no mood to smile! And I didn't want to make her angry because she's sick. When she's angry, she's cute and she will scold you with her baby voice... so, nxt time maybe?

With little Xuan.... I miss her so much because she has lots of expressions! Especially when she was playing Deep Freeze at Miniclip.com. And most importantly, she's a very obedient child! She listens to what you say and she will remember it... so good of her and you will definitely be a successful lady! Proud of you gal... Muacks! :)

Concentrating on miniclip games............ she's so cute with her little spects. And well, at the age of 5 she knows how to spell the word "specticals" almost correct. Can't believe it rite... and I corrected her twice and she can spell spectacles correctly! Smart gal....
Baby fish stayed at Eastin Hotel Penang too.... my precious!

The view of the Penang sea from the window of my hotel... This hotel was newly opened and perhaps they are still figuring out how to manage the whole hotel. Aircond was not working and we had to call the technician to fix it, no toothbrush/colgate provided and we had to call helpdesk to send it over but waited for 10mins, still haven't arrived and we called the housekeeping and they sent it after 5 mins. Breakfast was not really good because most of the dishes out of stock and refilled only a little while it was only 9am at that time. Eastin in PJ was quite reputable but why the one in Penang is totally different? Well, they might need some time to learn how to manage the whole hotel well... =) Good advantage of Eastin, only few steps away to Queensbay Mall.

Breakfast time!!

Breakfast at Eastin hotel so so only la...

CNY ended and welcome back to work! Fully energized during the whole week and well, work smart this week and new motivation for the new week! Kudos everyone... and work smart!
All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

CNY 2010 Shopping and Preparation

Happy Chinese New Year to all and don't forget to be home for CNY. Respect your parents and family members in this season and enjoy yourself, enjoy the cookies, enjoy the fellowship and enjoy everything! Forget bout work and just ENJOY! =D

Deco at Midvalley.... and last shopping before CNY.

Weekdays and they even have this performance... I thought performances are only during weekends, but no, weekdays too...

How talented they were....

The crowd at Midvalley during one of the weekdays, can you imagine that? I believe weekends will be a very massive crowd! So, no last minute shopping for CNY during weekends.

Lion dance performance at Centrepoint! He saw me taking photo of him and then he slowly danced towards me and stopped and posed right in front of me! How nice of him!

After taking photo... he slowly danced back to the original spot again... I felt so proud at that time because he purposely danced towards me! LOL...

And now, we were back at Banting and look at the amount of cookies to be distributed to friends & neighbors... wow. First time I saw such an abundant of cookies... haha.

And Justin busy packing cookies from the big tin to the smaller container. So, this was our CNY preparation thus far, on the 13 Feb 2010.

My hubby can cook!!

Guys, I tell you... Justin is such a great man because whatever that you ask him to do, he will never fail you and he will fulfill your request immediately! Sometimes if he can't do it immediately, he will tell you give him 5 mins or later he will do it and you don't have to remind him at all and he will definitely get things done! He's so responsible and I really thank God for him. Don't worry, I "seldom" bully him... sometimes I did... hehehe ;p like please bring me a glass of water and he did it... that's really my man! Or sometimes when I'm tired, he will ask me to sleep and leave the laundry to him. Oh my, I'm loving him more each day! Muacks!

And of course, my hubby can cook too... Initially he can only cook western food such as spaghetti, carbonara or baked salmon but now he can cook Asian Food. I think some girls also "kalah teruk" to this man rite.. ;p Look at his first attempt of fried rice and it tastes really really good. Enjoyed this meal so much in office, my lunchbox. Eating and smiling at the same time because I'm so proud of my man!

Ain't it cool?

Restoran Pangkor Village, Taman Megah

Happy Happy CNY... Happy Happy You and I.... Happy Happy Lou Sang! Actually I don't really know the actual meaning of Lou Sang, but since it's like sort of culture for every Chinese New Year that we must mix the crackers together and mess up the table, so I just joined the crowd to have Lou Sang. This was my 2nd time of having lou sang in my entire life. Very precious huh especially for the first encounter of Lou sang 1st time Lou Sang... LOL

Let's mess up the table.....

Most of our makan gang peeps cannot make it, thus only 5 of us....

Curry fish head ~ I thought this was really good since there were many recommendations on this.

Seafood beancurd...
Kam Heong La La... taste better.

Marmite chicken

The bill for the day..... Look at the killing price of the Yee Sang! But just love the raw salmon!

Happy Chinese New Year to all and have a safe journey back to hometown and enjoy the ties with your family while everyone is still around! Make sure you are home for CNY yea.... =)

Defects list @ New Home

New home is good but not the initial cleaning because it will be tiring! I would rather hire some cleaners to clean the whole house and I don't mind paying... heard that it is only RM200 to clean the whole house. Pay pay pay..... Just got our keys to our unit last month and we have settled the getting-key payment about RM1200 (CNY coming and we had to fork out this amount) and then to fix the grill at main door and kitchen and also window at yard, total up to RM2400 (again and CNY is just 2 weeks later). Sigh... why must the key ready during CNY and not last year Dec? So... bonus all gone on this! Hopefully can earn back when we rent this out! Can't wait.. then I will have extra money and no attached loan. How nice is that!

As usual, new house and you have to check every corner in the house to make sure all is properly done while you still have the warranty. Fill up the defect lists and pass back to management and request them to repair. It will take up about 1 mth to complete and then only you can start with your renovation.
This is the kitchen kabinet... included in the unit price.
The height is not the same.. and the last one seems to be lower a little..

Screw missing......
Door came out and not glued properly...
The view of the condo environment from my unit...

The washroom... I just like the wall tiles.
The ciplak water heater... never heard of this brand and dunno can harap. If I were to stay here, I will dismantle and fix Panasonic. A more reliable brand rather than waiting to get electric shot. Hehe...
The medium room.... I like this room the most!
Marzuki measuring the height and length for the grill... he's good!
Now measuring at the main entrance! The next time I will upload the pictures of the grill... Looks cool!
Settling the bill for grills and window at yard....
If only I can bring over the house to Damansara... how nice is that! I just love the yard & store room & balcony! The next to-do-list is to wait for the repair & maintenance to complete and then proceed with fixing lights & fan and adjust some of the wiring.... then, can start to rent out!
