One more week to HOLIDAYS!

Happy 31st Jan 2013.

One more week and we will be celebrating CNY. I'm already in my holiday mood and any mood left for work? No. Let's not talk about CNY preparations because I've nothing much to say about preparations. The fact is I prepare nothing. I bought cookies, but they were all gone even before CNY arrives, in my empty stomach. Haha.

But, this year, my little girl is overloaded with new dresses. Total 9 new dresses bought from the same shop.. by her grandma. We almost grab all the nice, elegant dresses that the shop sells. All dresses there look just so lovely and pretty. Look at the picture below... Agree? How can one resist those lovely pretty dresses? Moreover it's for your little sweetie.. Little girl is blessed!

She is all set, ready for the CNY holidays. Hopefully it won't be a cool day for her, meeting so many new faces in one week. Praying hard that she's gonna be one happy girl, collecting angpows, eating cookies and meeting many many new faces! =D

Christmas ..... why everyone is busy xchanging gifts?

Christmas is just around the corner and well, everyone is busy shopping and trying to get the best gifts for their beloved friends and family. It's such a happy season when everyone in the globe just enjoy shopping and giving presents. My colleagues and friends are so busy shopping for Christmas, scouting for the best gift and thinking hard what to give. But, do you know why this festive season is always known as the gifts exchanging season? Who started this exchanging gifts culture? Why such culture existed?

The ultimate reason is God Himself that started this "culture" of giving! He gave us the best gift, that is incomparable with any material things in the world. The gift that He gave us, provide us everlasting life, joy, peace ... everything!

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Most of us have Christmas memories.. What is your best Xmas memories then?

When I was young, I always love Christmas because we get to exchange gifts in Church. Receiving gift is always the happiest moment in life.... XD During Sunday School, the number of stickers that we got for attendance and some artwork can be changed to gifts too! Besides, there were lots of food and ice cream! We had a real Christmas tree at home and I still remember my parents will decorate the tree with lights, the day before caroling. It was fun.... and in fact I have always felt the peace and joy in this season. I just do not know why, but during this season, there's so much peace and joy in the air! If you feel the same, just enjoy it.....

And when I was young, I have always wanted to meet Santa. I thought Santa is real! I read too much story of Santa riding on a sleigh, with Rudolph the red nose reindeer and I thought all these are real! Not only that, I wish when I open the door of my bedroom, I can see presents, or socks hanging on my window when I open my eyes. Sometimes I don't feel like closing my eyes just in case Santa suddenly pass by. LOL.... Unfortunately all these are just stories.

On reflection every good gift I have ever gotten can be traced back to the little Lord Jesus who came long ago. I knew I won't be meeting the real Santa anyway and get disappointed with it, but I can pause during this holiday season and say, “Thank you for Christmas, Jesus. You’re the best gift anyone could ever receive.” Without Christmas and without You in my life, I am not who I am and I won't be a better person today....

Here are some Christmas deco in Pavilion.... thumbs up to all workers busy decorating this place and all I can say is you guys are really excellent!

The Christmas origin, at its meaningful heart, began about 2,000 years ago in a manger in Bethlehem. The Christmas story is simple -- Jesus wishes to be born within your heart today! As we hustle about the shopping malls this Christmas season looking for that perfect gift, let's all reflect on the greatest Christmas gift of all. Open your heart to the Messiah who was born in a manger in humility, died on a cross in love, and rose from the grave in glory. Accept the gift of Jesus Christ this Christmas - the most glorious gift in all history!

Besides from busy hunting for the best Christmas gift for your friends, don't forget to include this Glorious Eternal Gift for your friend! Their life will never be the same again after receiving this glorious gift! Blessed Christmas everyone .............. XD

CNY Travelogue!

This year CNY was the most memorable one because we travelled from south to north and back to south! From Damansara -> Banting -> Taiping -> Penang -> Sitiawan -> Damansara... It was really tiring to travel like that and after this trip, I was sick of highways, tolls and travelling on car. Really sick of road trip and just feel like rest at home and sleep and have some nice movies.

This trip, I travelled along with my baby fish. Spot the baby fish!! LOL. My aunt had to take out her glasses just to spot where is the baby fish. hahaha... FUNNY!

We were following speed limit ok! So, no summons for us! Yippiee!!

Was too bored after 3 hours of travelling... I hate travelling long journey but the destination is what am looking for. Worth all the sleepy journey in the car, the pancake butt after 4 hours sitting down unmoved, alert all the time to talk to hubby so that he is awake, and etc. The destination is my vision and it's worth all the sweat! =D

Jam Jam.... why still jam and we didn't travel during peak time..

So, stopped at Tapah resthouse for some exercise and definitely, ice cream under this hot weather! CNY weather is seriously killing me.... I would rather don't want internet, but have air cond. My younger SIL was so cute because she chose to have internet instead of aircond even if she's under the hot striking sun. Haha.

Jam at Taiping exit again due to this accident! Drive safe everyone and don't rush... because your loved ones are waiting for you at home! Don't rush!

@Penang ~ I made them to wish me the whole CNY blessings poem before I give them angpow. And look at this... haha.

Every year we will have steamboat for 1st & 2nd day of CNY.... love it so much! My grandma must have been very very tired during this festive season... but thank you so much for the chilli paste, lo bak, kuih ka pek, and many more.... =D

Yummy yummy!! And at first I wanted to buy a steamboat set so that I can do the same at home... but surprisingly my dad gave me one without asking! So Good......

I can't believe kids love national geographic more than cartoons! Look at all of them starring at the monkeys, orang utans....

Look at all of them!!! Hahahahaha...... Eyes juggling out and mouth open wide, especially the lil girl in black purple dress. LOL.

Me and little beh again! Unfortunately, she was down with fever, thus... no mood to smile! And I didn't want to make her angry because she's sick. When she's angry, she's cute and she will scold you with her baby voice... so, nxt time maybe?

With little Xuan.... I miss her so much because she has lots of expressions! Especially when she was playing Deep Freeze at Miniclip.com. And most importantly, she's a very obedient child! She listens to what you say and she will remember it... so good of her and you will definitely be a successful lady! Proud of you gal... Muacks! :)

Concentrating on miniclip games............ she's so cute with her little spects. And well, at the age of 5 she knows how to spell the word "specticals" almost correct. Can't believe it rite... and I corrected her twice and she can spell spectacles correctly! Smart gal....
Baby fish stayed at Eastin Hotel Penang too.... my precious!

The view of the Penang sea from the window of my hotel... This hotel was newly opened and perhaps they are still figuring out how to manage the whole hotel. Aircond was not working and we had to call the technician to fix it, no toothbrush/colgate provided and we had to call helpdesk to send it over but waited for 10mins, still haven't arrived and we called the housekeeping and they sent it after 5 mins. Breakfast was not really good because most of the dishes out of stock and refilled only a little while it was only 9am at that time. Eastin in PJ was quite reputable but why the one in Penang is totally different? Well, they might need some time to learn how to manage the whole hotel well... =) Good advantage of Eastin, only few steps away to Queensbay Mall.

Breakfast time!!

Breakfast at Eastin hotel so so only la...

CNY ended and welcome back to work! Fully energized during the whole week and well, work smart this week and new motivation for the new week! Kudos everyone... and work smart!

Gong Xi Fa Cai @ Dong Dong Chiang 2008

Gong Xi Gong Xi!!! Wish you a Happy and Prosperous CNY!!! 2008 shall be a new year, a new beginning, a new resolution, a new self, a new partner (joking..haha), a new wish, a new hope, a new bla bla bla.. the list goes on! Well, as for this year I just wish that I could accomplish all that I wish with God's grace!! :P

This year is the year of Rat, it's my year! Hu hu...anyway, I just don't care whether it's my year or what should I do because it's my year, well, all that I can say is every year is still my year. Wahaha.. not sure you understand what i'm mumbling around, hehe..

Balik kampung journey will be on Thursday morning, too bad, that siao Transnasional forced those UTARA people to board at Duta and those SELATAN people to board at Puduraya. I wish I'm from SELATAN, then I can board at Puduraya. Duta is soooo troublesome and I wonder how much does it cost for taxi to go from my house. Sigh.. Anyway, I wish there won't be terrible jam on the NS-highway, everyone drive safe, dun drink and drive, stop by at Petronas for a free cup of coffee, follow the speed limit as OPS sikap is watching you!

On the first day of CNY, there's nothing much I can do except to wish my parents GONG XI FA CAI and ANG POW NA LAI. Hahaha.. that's my aim actually! Everyone's aim rite..

On the second day of CNY, Justin's family will be visiting my family back at Sitiawan. They will be back to Taiping on the first day and drop by at Sitiawan on the second day. Hope they can find the way to Sitiawan and well, wish all the best to me and Justin. :P You will know why when I pass you some important cards. Hahaha =P

On the third day of CNY, I will be back to KL for my flight on 10 Feb to KK. Everyone says I'm crazy because I go mount climbing on the fourth day of CNY. Hmmm, nothing much I can say, but to smile.

So this year, I'm not meeting my grandparents back at Butterworth for CNY. Kinda sad, cause it has been ages (actually only last year.. :P) since I last met my grandparents. My ah ma always say that I lupa her already, in fact, it's kinda hard for me to allocate time to go back Penang. Perhaps, I will try when there are extra holidays!

Anyway, I will stop narrating now. Look at my awesome CNY pics.. hehehe.

Homely Christmas Celebration on 25 December 2007

I was surfing the web and suddenly, City Harvest KL came into my mind and I decided to take a look at their website to see if there are any updates for Christmas. And I found this beautiful statement from Pastor Kevin.

2000 years ago, God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ into the world, to die on the cross for us. He gave us His best in exchange for the best gift for mankind – salvation. It was because of love that God did that. It is His nature. The Bible tells us that it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us. Thus Christianity is a faith, a relationship motivated by love. It is not driven by fear or any other selfish desires. But is it costly? Yes. Is it risky? Yes. It is risky because we may love but that love may not be reciprocated. But we still love. We still give. The world will think that such action is silly. However, if our motivation is Christ and our desire is to show love to the world, then I must say it is worth it. And we should go all out and make the most out of such a beautiful message. A revelation of love is always more powerful than a revolution of anger. - Ps Kevin Loo, CHC KL.

Well, indeed God is always our good God that He ALWAYS give. Anything that you asked in prayer, he answered and give all that you want according to His will. Therefore, Christmas is a season of giving. Give love, joy and peace to the world and people around you regardless who they are because God created them. Give your time by praying for people, nations and God's Kingdom. All the time, gifts which are bought by using money cannot be replaced by gifts of love. Therefore, during this season, spend time with your family and your loved ones. Provide love and joy to the whole family for the entire life, not only during festive seasons because love and joy cannot be bought by $.

25 December 2007 was a remarkable day as this was the first time me and Justin prepared food for his family members for Christmas. Can you imagine that, Christmas.. and not any other normal days. Wahaha... Wow, really scared as I'm not really good in cooking western food, except to buy those ready made chicken, prawns..bla bla bla and fry them. Hahaha...

On 23 Dec, right after we reached home from Singapore, we went straight to Jaya Jusco to buy the necessary ingredients. We bought Salmon, prawns, chickens, macaroni and cheese, fruits and also sparkling juices.

Menu for Christmas 2007 :
1. Grilled Salmon
2. Roast Chicken
3. Mashed potatoes
4. Butter prawn with Nestum
5. Macaroni and Cheese
6. Fruit Salad
7. Christmas Cake
8. Sparkling juice

25 Dec 07, 12am..
I was so surprised when Justin brought out a huge Snoopy and placed it right in front of me. Wow, my Snoopy!!! I love Snoopy so much and I just can't understand why.. ehehe. Thanks Justin for the big Snoopy..hahaha.

25 Dec 07, 12pm..
We started to prepare all the food and hope all the food works with the printed recipes! Haha.. The kitchen was extremely messy with all the ingredients and also chunks of recipes. After cooking, lots of cleaning to do lo.. Anyway, we do enjoy exploring cooking new food.. hehe.

Sparkling Juice...

Butter prawns with Nestum which was prepared by me.. hehe. Way of cooking is easy, because I look for an easy recipe. :P
First of all, I marinated the prawns with Garlic spices for one night. Then, I mixed the prawns with an egg, flour and salt. Fry and drain them. After that, I melt a spoonful of butter in a saucepan and fry with garlic, salt, sugar, curry leaves and chilli. Add in the fried prawns and lastly, add Nestum. This is the outcome of the recipe.. hehehe.

Justin's Macaroni and Cheese topping with Mozarella cheese.

Justin's mashed potato..

Roast chicken prepared by me..

Fruit Salad prepared by me.. first time preparing this and I love it!!

Christmas Cake bought by Aunty Helen!

Fuh.. everyone did enjoy the food and we couldn't walk properly after that. Fullest.. wahaha!!
Lastly, Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
God bless all of you and may His blessings brings hope, love, peace and joy for the year ahead!!!
Welcome to 2008!!!
