And he sits!

17 January 2014
8 months 4 days

Two significant events on this date....
My father's birthday.
And the day my baby boy sits on his own.

My heart literally cheered for him. I was just so happy that I screamed at the babysitter's house when we picked the kids up in the evening, and I saw my boy was sitting next to the chair... "Daniel sits on his own?" and the babysitter replied "Yes! This whole morning he has been sitting down."
I went Wow Wow Wow... Daniel sits on his own. My heart was filled with so much joy and excitement, another new milestone that he has accomplished. He sits on his own! Oh Yes, this is definitely a big deal. He learn this all by himself. So, a big big big clap for him... Great job baby boy. Muackssss.........

The next milestone that we have been looking forward for... crawling on all fours which he has been practicing hard day and night. Haha.

What a little cutie he is. I love my babies!

The toothless grin is gone!

Finally, the long awaited toothless grin is gone! We spotted Baby boy's first tooth on the 15th January 2014, 8 months 4 days. We are equally excited, we have waited like ages for the first tooth to erupt. And that explains why he has been waking up so frequent in the middle of the night. 12am, 3am, 5am, 6am... oh dear, this mama is going to look like a panda. To add on, he has been drooling a lot and wet the floor wherever he goes. Haha.

Oh well... it's just a phase. Few more months.. yes, few more months, he will outgrown this phase and things will definitely get easier. =D

You know, even a small little milestone like a first tooth, it just makes me so happy. Every milestone worth celebrating and cheering for because it's an accomplishment. Most of the times, I'm amazed at baby's development. You see, often times people say "Don't be like a baby, stop spoon feeding him. Let him learn on his own." Well, I think babies are smarter than us, adults. They learn things on their own. They learn how to sit on their own. Did you teach him how to sit from a tummy position? No. Did you teach him how to chew and swallow? No. And as day goes by, they learn from day to day and they experiment here and there.. until the day we call them expert. And that is the day of them stepping into a new milestone, a whole new development. So, that alone is worth celebrating for because you won't know how hard they work for it.

"First tooth"

I've been chewing, drooling, biting,
Helping my tooth along.
But now it's here
And everyone cheers,
Cause my toothless grin is gone!

The genuine happiness from the life of a child

We woke up this morning, prepared ourselves for work and then we woke the children up. We carried the big sister, and half awake, subconsciousness she said, "Play toys". It seems like in her mind is all about toys. And toys make her happy. This is the life of a child. Well, we should learn from them. The genuine happiness. The smile and happiness that are so pure.

And, that's why God wants us to have a child like faith. The simplicity of a child's overview is astounding. Those tender words spoken from a little child's heart were a powerful demonstration of love and trust. They didn't pretend to be happy. But when they are happy, they burst out into laughter and giggles. This is what God wants us to be. Just take a look at your children. Parenting a child is like re-learning our life and going through the baby stage once again. A newborn baby that is total relying on his parents. The faith that a child has towards his parents. Is just like who our Father in Heaven is and we, as His children, come boldly to him like a child.

The path to a relationship with Christ is to surrender your life to His Lordship, and to trust in His death on the cross as the payment for your sins. And the path to a peace-filled Christian life is to live each day with childlike faith. I was reminded of that reality again last night as I visited with a couple at the hospital. He is preparing to start his next round of chemo, and is scheduled to have a bone marrow transplant next week. With genuine peace in their hearts and smiles on their faces, (along with tears of joy and faith as we prayed) they said they are living one day at time and finding much peace on the journey. That was apparent. It wasn't natural. It was something different than this world can offer. It was the supernatural peace of God which flows within the heart of a believer who is living with childlike faith. I felt like I was talking to two faith-filled children last night in that hospital room.
Quoted from christianpost.

Matthew 18:2-5

New King James Version (NKJV)
Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.

Throwback 2013 - A look back on the best!

Happy New Year everyone! And a very blessed 2014 to all of you, my beloved readers.

Looking back at 2013, I'm just so thankful to my Almighty God for His tremendous blessings and grace which lifted us all up to a higher level. We believed for a greater 2014, more of Him and more of His goodness!

I'm thankful for 2013, I wouldn't say life is pretty good, we had our share of ups and downs , and still, I would take this time to thank God for His goodness.

Psalm 100:5
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations

January

We were 21 weeks pregnant and we found out that we were having a BOY! It was 100% confirmed, Dr Paul said. *giggles*

February

We flew to Krabi for our vacation and baby girl was thrilled. She walked around happily, she loved to swim and we had a lot of seafood! Yummy!

March

We went to baby fair at Mid Valley and bought a lot of diapers for the baby boy. We were busy preparing for his arrival in May. *Screaming in excitement*

April

We welcomed back our friend from the States and gathered at The Curve. She helped us to buy lots of clothes and baby stuffs from USA for our baby boy. Thank you Grace! *Muacks*

May

The month that we welcomed our second baby into this world.
May 13th 2013, 12:17pm our son entered this world, with a vigorous cry and those lungs could be heard all across the hospital.
Hello Baby Boy!

June

The priceless moment. Big sister was adoring her little brother. The best moment ever. When I was a kid, I had always wanted another sibling to love and care and to play with. Now, big sister is ranked up, and she loves her brother. Having two kids in the family, was a great experience. We adjusted to this new life and although there were plenty of times we got pretty frustrated, overtired, overstressed, but we made it! We found our way out together as a family and as time goes by, we love each other more.

July

Back to work after 2 months maternity leave. Even though there was this uncle that said I still carried my baby fats, well... looking at it positively, it was a great way of motivation that I should shed away the baby fats in me. =D

August

Loving these two cuties more and more. Both of them are like a shining diamond, they are gems in my heart! Thank you Jesus so much for these two blessings!

September

We had three wonderful celebrations in this month - Papa's Birthday, Daniel's baby dedication and Ashlynn's Birthday. Wow. What an exciting month.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ..........
To the man that swept me off my feet when he asked me to be his girlfriend, then his wife, became my husband, and then gave me two precious heartbreaking gifts...
To the man that I'm looking forward for many many wonderful years to come and grow old with ...
And to the man that we call The Best Father and The Best Husband...

Happy TWO birthday to my forever-loving-huggable-precious baby girl! We love you lots and lots and lots!

October

We had a mini vacation to Bangkok with the husband and I missed my kids like crazy. I cried on the way to the airport, and still crying when we had our breakfast at McD LCCT and still crying when the plane took off. Lesson Learnt - I will never ever travel without my kids anymore. I will bring them wherever I go!

November

In this month, I set a goal to be a SAHM. 1 more year, Ashlynn will be going to the kindergarten (I hope she doesn't cry and thus, I won't cry :p). I wish I can be there for her, fetch her to and back from school. Talk about her school days. Do homework together. Cook her nice lunch after school. Making her school days a memorable and enjoyable one. Wish me all the best, that SAHM dream will come to past!

We took lots of Christmas photos and here was one of it, my loved ones. How can I live without them? My heartthrobs.

December

The last month of the year! I was on leave from 19 Dec 2013 up to 1 Jan 2014. What a long leave..
In the month of December...

Ashlynn turned 27 months
Daniel turned 7 months.

We celebrated Christmas at Dorsett Hotel Subang, a nice buffet lunch with the family.

We celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary on 27 Dec.

and we flew to Perth! We survived the 5 hours 20 mins flight with a 27mo toddler and a 7mo baby. It was a tiring trip with two kids, but manageable and enjoyable and we all had a great fun time!

One word to summarize the whole 2013, THANK YOU JESUS.
We couldn't have been this far if it's not because of His grace, blessings, mercy and protection.
We wrapped up 2013 with a heart of gratitude and we are going to unwrap 2014 with an open heart, dashing through the days with what He has in store for us, resting under the shadow of His wings, that all of us will soar up high and receive more of His goodness!

18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Blessed 2014 everyone!

Daniel - Seven Months!

SEVEN Months.

Baby boy celebrated his first Christmas , experienced his first flight after Christmas, will be celebrating his first Chinese New Year this month .. and 5 months later, his first Birthday. Oh well, I better stop counting.

At the age of 7 months, he loves milk more than solids. He loves to roll left and right, right to left and one fine day, we searched high and low where is Daniel, and only to find him playing with a ball under the table.
He loves to pull my hair and not letting them go. He loves to pull my spectacle, perhaps I should opt for Lasik. He still loves his little fist. And now, his favorite past time, biting his shirt. Baby boy is definitely teething.

And what I like the most, never get bored of it, is to smell his little fist.

Baby Stats:

 --------------------------

Sleep
Recently, you wakes up every 2 hours and your mommy left home to work like a zombie. And now, as you grow older, you prefer to play more than sleep. Putting you to sleep in the afternoon is extremely tough. Baby boy, your mama can't wait for you to grow up from this stage that you will enjoy your sleeping time.

Feed
We have passed the six months of fully breastfeeding and we shall achieve the 1 year of fully BF. Keep going baby boy. 5 more months to go. =D On the other hand, I shall try my best for you to gobble down apple puree. You dislike apple puree so much that you cried if I ever force the food down your throat. =/ We shall try again baby boy.... (you must eat apple!)
