What's in the toddler's Porridge

Eating healthy is always the key to a healthy body, mind and soul. So, basically above are the ingredients that I put everything together in the kids' porridge. The packet behind is chicken stock brewed by my mom in law. Besides, I usually cook steam egg for the boy and fried egg for the girl as side dishes.

You might be scary with the amount of veges in their porridge, but hey, they eat everything! Good job kids! =D

I just wonder how long more they will take porridge, as long as they want it, I will cook it. I believe porridge contains more nutrients cause I actually dump a lot of varieties inside. I tried feeding my daughter rice and dishes (our adult food), in fact, she ate lesser and was more picky. As for now, porridge is the best for them. Until they outgrown their porridge .............

Home made hearty nuggets!

This recipe has been brewing in my head for some time and finally, on one sunny Saturday morning, I decided to make this, instead of cooking the usual fish porridge.

Where do I get the idea of making home made nuggets? Well, we were in TGIF one evening for dinner and she got a Kid's Eat For Free meal, and there were fries! We handover the fries to her and she absolutely love it. But, we only gave her 2 fries! TWO! Not more than that... because the fries are way too salty and oily for a 1 year old toddler. So, suddenly it crossed my mind, why don't I make my own fries? There it goes...............

Instead of making fries, I made nuggets! Healthy, no salt, not oily and she still loves it! Proud me ;)

From her expressions, you will surely know that they were good. Haha!

Here's the recipe ..... healthy snack for your little one.

Ingredients:
White Potato
Sweet Potato
Avocado
Salmon fillet
1 teaspoon of butter

Steps:
1) Steam potato, sweet potato, avocado, salmon, then mashed.
2) Press the mixture into the heart shape mould and knock them out.
3) Spread some butter on the plate and bake until golden brown.

Potato and Carrot Puree

1 Potato
1 inch of carrot

Cut the potato and carrot into chunks, steam until soft.
Usually I steam 20-30 mins so that it is really soft.
Then blend!

My baby girl loves this puree so much that she finished everything in 5 mins! Haha!

Sweet Potato Puree

Our lil girl has just started puree few weeks ago and whenever we intro new food, it is always single food intro. No mixture with other food and this will get hold on whether this food will cause any allergy or not.
Ingredients:
=========
1 Sweet Potato

Steps :
=====
1) Peel off the skin, cut into cubes and then steam for a bout 15-20mins.
2) Blend
*Add some water for thinning out the sweet potatoes if desired. I don't add any milk because it's already sweet*
