Homely Christmas Celebration on 25 December 2007

I was surfing the web and suddenly, City Harvest KL came into my mind and I decided to take a look at their website to see if there are any updates for Christmas. And I found this beautiful statement from Pastor Kevin.

2000 years ago, God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ into the world, to die on the cross for us. He gave us His best in exchange for the best gift for mankind – salvation. It was because of love that God did that. It is His nature. The Bible tells us that it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us. Thus Christianity is a faith, a relationship motivated by love. It is not driven by fear or any other selfish desires. But is it costly? Yes. Is it risky? Yes. It is risky because we may love but that love may not be reciprocated. But we still love. We still give. The world will think that such action is silly. However, if our motivation is Christ and our desire is to show love to the world, then I must say it is worth it. And we should go all out and make the most out of such a beautiful message. A revelation of love is always more powerful than a revolution of anger. - Ps Kevin Loo, CHC KL.

Well, indeed God is always our good God that He ALWAYS give. Anything that you asked in prayer, he answered and give all that you want according to His will. Therefore, Christmas is a season of giving. Give love, joy and peace to the world and people around you regardless who they are because God created them. Give your time by praying for people, nations and God's Kingdom. All the time, gifts which are bought by using money cannot be replaced by gifts of love. Therefore, during this season, spend time with your family and your loved ones. Provide love and joy to the whole family for the entire life, not only during festive seasons because love and joy cannot be bought by $.

25 December 2007 was a remarkable day as this was the first time me and Justin prepared food for his family members for Christmas. Can you imagine that, Christmas.. and not any other normal days. We started to prepare all the food and hope all the food works with the printed recipes! Haha.. The kitchen was extremely messy with all the ingredients and also chunks of recipes. After cooking, lots of cleaning to do lo.. Anyway, we do enjoy exploring cooking new food.. hehe.

Sparkling Juice...

Butter prawns with Nestum which was prepared by me.. hehe. Way of cooking is easy, because I look for an easy recipe. :P
First of all, I marinated the prawns with Garlic spices for one night. Then, I mixed the prawns with an egg, flour and salt. Fry and drain them. After that, I melt a spoonful of butter in a saucepan and fry with garlic, salt, sugar, curry leaves and chilli. Add in the fried prawns and lastly, add Nestum. This is the outcome of the recipe.. hehehe.

Justin's Macaroni and Cheese topping with Mozarella cheese.

Justin's mashed potato..

Roast chicken prepared by me..

Fruit Salad prepared by me.. first time preparing this and I love it!!

Christmas Cake bought by Aunty Helen!

Fuh.. everyone did enjoy the food and we couldn't walk properly after that. Fullest.. wahaha!!
Lastly, Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
God bless all of you and may His blessings brings hope, love, peace and joy for the year ahead!!!
Welcome to 2008!!!

Truly life is not measured by how many breaths we take but by how many moments that take our breaths away!
