2011 Durian Fever Again!

It's durian season again and this time, it's kinda early. I used to buy durians from roadside, but after I was conned by the durian seller last month (he charged me RM30 for 2 durian kampung special) I boycott roadside durian FOREVER AND EVER, until I master the skill on how to choose good quality durian. Otherwise, forget bout it.

So, the next place to get good quality durian, other than indulging in the durian buffet at SS2, I've found one good place, which is Jusco at Setiawangsa!! I absolutely love the durians there and nope, they are not from Thailand, but from Pahang. I usually hunt for durians at night, about 7pm when the 50% starts coming. Everything is less 50% and I love it.... This fruit is freaking EXPENSIVE! But, twice a year.. who cares rite? =D Perhaps I should point back to my mom, she's the Queen of durian in the house and I inherited the gene, and now I'm known as Princess of durian then.

I would prefer to get from Jusco instead of roadside because I can stay assure that all flesh are good qualities, no hard flesh or worm or anything. And they are really honest seller! XO means XO and they don't cheat!

First time in my life I've tasted Musang King! The best durian ever.... it's bitter and creamy, but not as creamy as XO, but more bitter than XO. I think my dad will love this, the not so creamy but very bitter durian.

XO and it's reallyyyyyyyyy creamy and sticky and BITTER! My favourite ......
NOTE: If you sneeze when you eat durian, be happy because you are eating a very bitter good quality durian! I sneezed countless times when I ate this XO durian. Love it!!

Udang merah .... this is not bitter but sweet. Not really my favourite and I would not get this again. Not creamy also... but suits those sweet lovers =)

Durian Jantung! One of the best durians as well..... it's bitter and creamy! As good as XO and I like it!! Usually I would get Jantung and XO, both are my favourites....

All these are not for me, but sooooooooooo tempted to just steal one seed of each packs. Haha. I think my mom will be so impatient when she look at all these wonderful durians! Hahahaha!

I LOVE DURIAN! =D

Day 6 (20.3.2011) - Sydney Wildlife & Magistic Cruise & Sydney Tower & IMAX

And this shall be our last day in the amazing city of Sydney. Our last day to hop around the busy city, our last day in Sydney to enjoy their western food, our last day in Sydney with the not-so-hot weather. We had the full day free and leisure and our day tour was so well planned. Free and easy is always the best choice. Do what you like and go where you want and no rushing here and there.

Our first stop for the day...
SYDNEY WILDLIFE WORLD

MAGISTIC LUNCH CRUISE

Unfortunately, it was raining the whole day since morning and it was still drizzling when we were dining in the ship.

Drinks were not included and it will be ordered and paid separately, unless you order for plain water.

Buffet lunch.. only few varieties.

The bar!

Pheww! At least the rain stopped when we reached Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It was photo time!

This cruise lasted for 2 hours and if you like, you can still extend your hours for FREE in the ship. Maximum is 4 hours.

Next...
SYDNEY TOWER

We walked from Darling Harbour to Sydney Tower and I was exhausted and panting when I reached the tower because of the walking distance. I should have exercise more.. haha.

And we walked back from Sydney Tower to Darling Harbour for IMAX. Guess I will fall asleep for a few mins in the cinema due to the walking. LOL.

Wanted to watch Titanic 3D but the next show was at 7.15pm... sigh. In the end, we decided to just watched TRON 3D

After IMAX, dinner time!!!

And this restaurant was the best dinner ever in Sydney!

Bershire Pork ~ Flame-grilled basted Berkshire pork cutlet served with roasted baby potatoes, bacon, cabbage and a fennel roquette salad ($29). This was soooooooooooo delicious!!!!

Gourmet Cheese Burger ~ Hand pressed 225g Monte beef burger patty, grilled, basted and served on a warm bun with baby cos lettuce, grilled tomato salsa, cheddar cheese, onion rings, hot English mustard mayonnaise and tomato sauce with char-grilled eggplant and zucchini. Served with super crunchy chips ($22)

Lamb Cutlets ~ Yoghurt marinated lamb cutlets, flame-grilled and served with Mediterranean sauce, tomato and cucumber salsa and mint and coriander yoghurt ($36)

Hot Chocolate

Blended Mocha.
The best meal ever and I just love the Bershire Pork! So yummY!!! =D

And finally, we left home on the 21 March 2011............... Goodbye Sydney and do we have chance to meet again? =D

Day 5 (19.3.2011) - Sydney Aquarium and Darling Harbour!

19 Mar 2011 was our last day of Color Conference 2011 and yes, I miss all the amazing preachers, including the awesome worship band.

In the morning, we had Ps Craig preached about "Masterpiece".

1) With Christ, you are God's masterpiece!

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
a) You are created for the master's purpose
b) You have everything you need to do everything God wants you to do.
2 Peter 1:3
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
c) God uses everything in your life to bring about His purpose
d) If you don't like yourself, let God remake you

Later on, the legend Jeanne Mayo brings a powerful message about "God's waiting room".

John 5
1 Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda[a] and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. [4] [b] 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” 7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

1) You can often get what you are looking for right where you are - if you stand upon the INSIDE and TAKE IT.
2) Like Ruth, inventory the good things in your life. Then give yourself away to someone or something in your present situation. Celebrating something in your present is often the key to something in your future.
3) Like Joseph, we can began to develop the character traits in our present that will be needed in our future.

You can be QUEEN when your attitude reflects the present!
A title cannot give a true authority, but character can!
All that you want in your future will be achieved by faithfulness in your present!
Happiness is an inside job-develop character in your present that's needed in your future!

I just love watching these amazing women of God preached! In the afternoon, we had a quick walk to Darling Harbour and we bought 3 passes for Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Wildlife Park and Sydney SkyTower. We covered Sydney Aquarium only for the whole afternoon as we needed to rush back by 6pm for the night session.

While waiting for us to finish our morning session, this was her with her INTERNET! Seems like these days, we can't survive without having the access to internet. =D

And Justin... loves to enjoy himself! haha!

After lunch, we thought of just hopping onto the monorail to get to darling harbour, and we thought it is cheaper. But surprisingly, one way ticket is $4.50! If $4.50 x 4 then it's already $18 and darling harbour is just so near to the sydney entertainment centre. We decided to just get a taxi and the meter came up to only $6. Sooooo much more cheaper!

Sydney Aquarium!

Initially I thought this was a leaf, but it's a leafy sea dragon!

You can even choose to ride on this "bottom glass boat" to have a closer with with the sharks. Sharks are just below you!! But it's all in a big aquarium, not in the middle of the sea.

We had our snacks time after the tour in the sydney aquarium. We walked around Darling Harbour and my MIL decided to have cruise the next day! wow...

And we booked the lunch cruise which cost $70 per person. The lunch cruise will pass by the sights of Sydney Harbour such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Fort Denison, Luna Park and Sydney's million dollar waterfront mansions. Visit their official website for more info.

Can you see Darlene? I've finally got the chance to see her THIS NEAR! Haha..

This was the closing ceremony of our last day of Color Conference. In the night, we had Lisa Bevere preached about "History Maker". We need to be women who learns to sit down and make history, learn to be an influence! Do not lose your perspective, you need to be on high alert! And then Christine Caine stepped up and she summarizes the entire Color Conference with a powerful message! What a great conference...

And finally, we had our dinner after the conference at Ajisen Ramen! Very nice japanese food... =)
