GRCians (Part I) ...........

Before working at HP, I actually started to work as a teacher at Grace Resource Centre, PJ. If you are curious, this home schooling is actually a church ministry by Grace Assembly church under Pastor Henry Ramaya. At that time, I was actually waiting for my final exam results/convocation before I started to look for an IT job. So, I ended up teaching at GRC, PJ for about 6 mths and then I found the job that I like. The syllabus are totally different with the one in those sekolah kebangsaan. When I was teaching there, there were lots of things to learn, especially the Literature or known as Language Arts. Honestly, sometimes I do think the students are smarter than me because they know lots of literature, where else most of the time I will lead them to Miss Emel, the English pro or sometimes Miss Cath!

I left GRC early of Jan07 and on the day I tender my resignation, my heart was so heavy. I did not give any month's notice, but a 24 hours notice. Which means I started to pack my stuffs on the same day I tender and left school after 4pm. Obvioulsy, the kids have planted a deep root in my heart and it left such a big pain when I had to slowly let go of the planted root. But I know each of them have impacted my life a lot and indeed some of them made me realised of what a child is hoping for, what is a child's need and many more facts of a child's life.

Children are not all about cute/chubby, in fact it is whether they are brought up in a Godly home, by parents that love God and put God first. Sometimes my heart even ache when I saw the kid. Some kids can be very hyperactive, I won't use the word naughty, but I don't blame them because if I were to reflect how they were brought up, sometimes I just felt so sorry for them. What I can do for them in school is only 9am-4pm... I can give as much love as I can, as much scolding/advice as I can, but ... what a child desires the most is still the genuine love from HOME!

Anyway, back to the topic... this is me, always go round the bush before I reach the main point. Lol. Honestly, I miss all the kids in GRC. ALL of them left such a vivid memory in my mind, soul, body, heart..... Sometimes I will recall how they react/behave just to get your attention. Sometimes when you spend more attention to a particular student, the other one will get jealous and then quickly come near me. That feeling was so great.... I can draw kids! Hehehe.....
The pictures below were a grooming competition. I forgotten what function on that day was, but I still kept those pics in my HD. I believe they were all grown up teenagers now.... =)

Mr Tommy........ pity him, had to groom like a gal..

Pretty little Saskia, a mix of German + Indian....

Emily Chen.... she's the person that loves clean stuffs and a bit dirt on her skirt/pants, she will start screaming... especially during the Broga camp and she shouted/grumbled almost every seconds of her dirty pants/hair/body. Sometimes you will even laugh when you see her reacted that way.

This was the shy Mr Tommy..... lol. And Mr Fan was at the back, our GRC Principal. I learnt a lot thru him!

And this was Bryant Sum.... (Thanks Brenda for getting me right on this name.. hehe)
All the below pictures were the one I took on my last day in school. It left such a shock to all the students because of my 24 hours resignation. One of the supervisor suspected when I took out my camera and start snapping pics. I nearly shed my tears when she asked if I resigned, but I controlled and hold up my tears.

Me, Cayla and Shansha (I forgot her name and thanks to Miss Cath for reminding me).. hehe.

Shansha.. the pretty little young girl!

Cayla .... the mix of British + Indian... very cute little young girl and I used to force her to hug me when she reached school every morning. But she was too shy to hug me, so what I did was I grabbed her every morning, and gave her a nice hug! She will be struggling away, but I don't care. Hehehe.... But, on my last day at school, she automatically ran to me gave me a nice tight hug! Aww, I missed that moment and yeah, I missed her very much. I saw her during award's night last year and she has grown alot.

Wendy Ling.... how smal the world is! I was kinda surprised when I saw her sis fetching her home from school. I was like... Wern Wern, is this your sister?? And she said yes... wow, what a small small world! Didn't know that all the while I was teaching my friend's younger sis. She has nice smile, just like her sis and her hair is so smooth and silky! I like it...........
So, basically that was all about the GRC kids.... Aww, the memories that each of them gave me are still so vivid in my mind! I will try to get some more pics of them, especially the one at Broga Camp and also the pic how I made one of the students cry. Hahaha...
I MISS ALL OF THEM!!!! =(
HOPEFULLY THEY STILL REMEMBER ME AS MISS CARYSSE! LOLZ....

Something to hope for after office hours!

After the long busy work at office, what do you wish to see/to have the most when you first reach home in the evening? A nice sofa to lie down to relax the bone and soul? or a nice shower with refreshing fruit shower gel from Body Shop? or a cutie little doggy wagging his tail welcoming you home? or your little kids calling mummy daddy and give you a nice hug? or a nice meal awaiting for you at home? Well, what I would love to see when I reach home is the content in the fridge! Of course I would love to hear my kids calling me mummy and give me a tight hug when I reached home, but tis still takes time. Hehe. It is always a suspend if there are any food present in the fridge awaiting for us to heat up and then mam mam. After the long hours whole day in office, tired and sleepy... of course it is always a bonus if you see there's something ready cooked in your fridge and you don't have to start from raw ingredients. What you need to do is just to heat up and then yumyum yum......

Usually when my MIL bought some food and sent it over to our house, she will drop us a SMS and said there's something in the fridge. When I saw that SMS, I was just so thankful for the meal that she bought and brought all the way from Banting - Damansara. Can you imagine that? The hardwork of buying and driving and then drive all the way back to Banting again. It isn't that near, about 1 hour of drive is still needed.

But last week, we all had a surprise when I saw something on the table. I remembered when I left home to office this morning, the dining table was cleared and I will make sure no remainder of food left on the table. Otherwise, it will be a breeding ground for cockroaches. So, I will always ensure home is clean! But that day, I saw a packet of food on the table. And I suspected it must be food from Banting! Yes!!! Before I rushed to the dining table, I opened the fridge and I saw a big pack of food..... wow, that feeling was just so awesome!!
And there was this small note on the fridge written by my MIL.... so cute rite. Haha.

This was the packet of food that I saw on the dining table.... from the main door. Fried cempedak.... so delicious.

And asam fish from Jit Yat Seng.... I've not been to Jit Yat Seng, Banting for almost 1mth I think and I miss the asam fish so much. I like their soy sauce steam fish also. And the teochew style steam fish from Yew Beng. I think Banting has good steam fish!!

This was my extra home steamed egg.... was a failure actually, the surface supposed to be smooth and silky, but look at this. Lolz.... pls don't laugh yea. I shouldn't have covered the cover fully without leaving some air.. that was why this happened!
Maybe I was too hungry at that time ------> Alasan. Hehehe.
Thank you so much my MIL for such a wonderful meal..... =)

The true shots of Bali, credit to Mr Fung!

I just came back from Bali with a group of friends last July and we're all normal photographers, no license, no grade, no certificate! So, the quality of our photos are all acceptable, can see, no blur and is the people that makes all the pictures nice, not the photography skills! =D But, yesterday Mr Hubby gave me a link and asked me to check out all the shots that his colleague took and I was like wow wow wow. Every pictures make me stunned for a moment to admire the beauty of every dots in the pic. See it to believe it. These are the few pictures that I asked Mr Hubby to ask his colleague for his permission so that I can *steal* some of the pictures and upload them in my blog. I tell you, he's really a PHD Photographer!! And thanks for his permission, all the pictures below are credited to Mr Fung Weng Cheong!

Restoran Dana Seafood & Thai Food @ Kayu Ara

Last night dinner's meal was the most satisfying one that I ever had from 1st Aug till to date. This newly opened restaurant, just few doors away from my condo, was superbly delicious! It's just like the Seri Niara in Melawati that I used to go when I stayed in Wangsa Maju last time. But here, you find the portion bigger and the chicken are uncountable. In Seri Niara, for a small ayam masak halia, you can start to count the slices of chicken, and it can be only 10 or sometimes less than that.
Dotted pic because it was drizzling yesterday night. So I just took the pic from the inside of the car.

Tomyam ayam ~ RM4.50 for small. Superbly delicious. I just love the taste of the tomyam so much and thank God for this shop because in Kayu Ara, I've tried everywhere for tomyam and still couldn't find a good one like this except for tomyam in Black Canyon!! I love it.............. And it's also the first time in my life that I saw celery in tomyam. Hahahaha....

Ayam masak halia ~ RM4.00 for small. This was seriously good as well. Taste just the same as the one in Seri Niara. I love it too....

The rice pot for two.....

Kangkong belacan ~ RM4 for small. Look at the big portion and it's really worth it. I do miss kangkong belacan a lot and this was really good as well. Served with slices of chicken too.

Udang goreng ~ RM5 for small. This was hubby's favorite. And I asked him to finish them all because for me, tomyam + kangkong belacan is more than enough!
This restaurant is really worth going and the portion is big. Maybe it's newly opened that's why the quality is there. But I hope they do maintain the portion until forever! I love this........ and after this satisfying meal, I kept telling my hubby that I'm so satisfied, I'm so satisfied and even till before sleep, I still told him I'm sooooo satisfied! Indeed this was the most satisfying meal I ever had!!!!!! I love the food!!!!!!!!! Altogether we spent only RM22.50 for all the dishes including 2xrice + drinks.
Now, I don't have to go back all the way to Wangsa Melawati for such good Malay dishes, but I can just easily walk few steps from my condo to this restaurant. =)

EMONESS

I'm being emo today, but this is something that I cannot avoid. I've actually brought the emoness the night before to the sleep and thus, that's the reason why the emo still remained till today. I should have cleared them off before I sleep. Aih, I tried to meditate on this "In everything I do, I do it unto the Lord and not to men." Still, my brain and mind and soul are still daunted by the emoness. I still can't let go.... let go and let go!

Some human beings are just like this. To make their life simpler, it is always ok to *trouble other people. Do you agree with this? And they want you to do ALMOST everything for them, do this do that and the reason is why they can't live a simpler life rather than make it extremely complicated. Once a while it is ok, I can accept but imagine something that is not necessary, but they come to you almost everyday and request for this and that! Or to them, they are all important? Honestly, I can say that tis is totally annoying. The world is always like this, if you do not know how to step, then you will be stepped. I will teach you this : Learn to step up if you have done something great, otherwise others will grab it!

Satay Glorious!

Every Wed, it is always a routine to have a makan session during the meeting. We have two top contributors for this makan session, first of all is our Mr Manager and secondly is our Mr Saiful. We have a rule whereby for those who is late for the meeting, eventho it's only 1 minute, he/she needs to pay RM5. Wow, sounds a lot rite.... so, Mr Saiful is always our top contributor and thanks to him, we get to eat Satay once in every 2 mths. And thanks to him also for going all the way to Uptown during lunch to get us this wonderful meal. Supposed to be only snacks during meeting but we are having lunch instead of snacks.
Look at the delicious satay kajang kuah... awesome!

Busy with the distribution of kuah and satay..... excited and can't wait. Hehe...

Hiroko and Kaoru, both of them are from Japan and yeah, they were busy with work and see what was I doing.... lol.

See this when you're hungry.... sure u feel like eating. *specially dedicated to my friend, CL ;p*

The 100 sticks of satay for 11 of us..... so, per person about 9 sticks... wow. Eat and be contented.

Yen Fen: These are all mine.... You guys eat cucumber and nasi impit. Wahahaha.

Nasi impit... very filling and cannot eat much. We ordered 4 tis time and next time, we will get only 2. =)

This is Mr Saiful!! Our top contributor + our tapao man......

And Mr Bala..... He loves satay too. Well, I think when it comes to satay, everyone from every part of the world will definitely love this local food. So, that's all for our team meeting last Wed. And what will we have today???Let's see... hehe.'
The best satay in town is still the Satay Kajang and you can get them at Damansara Uptown.
