Asian Terrace @ Mont Kiara

Thanks to Adibah for recommending such a wonderful place. This was actually my 2nd trip to Mont Kiara. LOL. So ulu of me that such an awesome place for food and to hang out, this was only my 2nd visit. The first visit was here : Golden Triangle! Asian Terrace is a truly authentic Thai & Vietnamese food under the same roof which makes your life easier if you love those two countries food! The reason why we were there was to celebrate farewell of most of the leads in SS Tower, HP. Even our manager, Mr Kang got promoted; venture into new role, some of the leads moved to the dedicated Japanese team and then new lead joined the team... so many changes and now the team has a new manager. Changes are good because it creates new opportunity to others to venture more in different position/task. I hope one day I will be part of the change too... LOL. So, Asian Terrace was the choice for the day for this special occassion!

A haven in the city you can escape to; slip into serenity and endeavor the traditional yet contemporary interior, unwind with a glass of wine, enjoy our unique selection & blend of tasty Thai & Vietnamese Cuisine, and settle yourself in a truly unique dining experience; here at Asian Terrace, Solaris Mont Kiara. Quote from their main website : Asian Terrace.com

Orange & apple juice... the juices were kinda diluted, too much water added and is damn expensive! Green apple juice for RM12, orange juice RM12, Mango juice RM13, Watermelon RM10... I don't mind paying this much if the juice is NOT diluted. I ordered mango juice and it was not real mango fruit juice. Disappointed on the juices....

Choosing hard what to order..... and don't know what to order, thus, all orders were left for MR Wallet to decide. =)

Mieng Kam - Served with Chef's home-made suace (Thai) RM18 ~ I didn't try this because I don't really like to eat raw vege stuffed with all those side side thingy. But they said it was good! Perhaps you should try if you like it?

Saiful, myself and Nizar..

Crispy Prawn Rolls wrapped in wonton skin (Thai) RM15 ~ This was really good and I love the crunchiness of the skin. Taste really good frying together with prawn. Perhaps I should try cooking this at home too?? =D

Asian Terrace Platters, 3 persons sharing (Thai & Vietnamese (RM29) ~The black thingy in the middle is beef, tastes good but I don't dare to chew it. I cut a small piece of it, chew a little and then swallow the whole thing. Just for the sake of trying how it tastes like. LOL.

The ambiance in the restaurant....is it great? For romantic-ness, it's good.. but not for photography unless you have your gadgets with you. Too bad, I'm only using a digital cam which gave me such quality of pics... I WILL invest in a mini SLR! That's for sure...... =D

Round the table from left : Adibah, Kaoru, Hiroko, Kang, Bala....

Deep Fried chicken wrapped in Pandan leaves (Thai) RM19 ~ Per plate has four, so we ordered three plates of that.

Steamed sea bass with chili and lime juice (Thai) RM49 ~ This was really good, really must try! I love the Thai style steam fish.... We did order another fish which is Deep Fried grouper in sweet and sour sauce (RM49). Unfortunately, I do not have the photo cause the dish was served at the other end.

After walking around Mont Kiara, I ordered this for dessert! Mango sticky rice ~ RM14. First time trying this, and you can actually eat the sticky rice just like that!

Myself, Swee Yng, Yen Fen & Adibah...we were preparing belated birthday cake surprise for Kang!

Hunted all over Mont Kiara and not managed to find any cake shop other than Coffee Bean. LOL. Mont Kiara indeed is not my territory... If only Louise was here she will definitely give us few choices of cake shop to choose from. Mont Kiara is her territory!!

And finally... the last photo of all of us! Hope we shall meet again and have meal, giggle, talk together. Kang will be moving to Cyberjaya next year Jan and some of the leads were busy with the Japanese team. And us, in A6 having sweet sweet time working together! Proud working at HP!! =)

  3. Hi, i think you wrongly judged Asian Terrace for the juices. I've been there many times and got to know one of their staff there. He told me that his boss only use freshly squeeze juices (do not add water) and do not practice cordial or any concentrated juices. Even i tried it myself as i only take freshly blend juices and find it 100% pure. Maybe you should give a chance and try it again. All the best....Jun Ee

  4. Well, Asian Terrace got the best creative dish in KL....Its their Thai Yeun Gai ( Standing Chicken ) ha ha....Its really standing in front of you! The best is the sauce ( 6 types !! ) Very generous. Well, I remember their juices and home-made drinks are quite reasonable as all are freshly made!! Surprisingly saw your comments here. We love the cozy restaurant as they got what we called SERVICE !! Tata....bravo to ASian Terrace, one of our best restaurants in Solaris, MOnt Kiara!!
