Day 2 (16.3.2011) - Welcome to Sydney!

We arrived at Sydney airport about 11am (Sydney time) and yes, it was tiring. Hoping for the weather to be chilling, but sort of disappointed because it is slightly hotter than Genting. Not too hot and not too cold. We hired a taxi from Airport to our hotel and well, I was surprised by how the taxi's meter works! In Msia, it moves up every 10cents, but in Sydney, the meter moves up every 50 cents! Wow...... total taxi fund from Airport to Capitol Square Hotel is about $49.50. At least the distance ain't that far, otherwise............ *choking*

After checking in to hotel, settling our luggage, took a quick bath and changed... we went for city tour. Not really city tour tho, just walking around the hotel and see what we can find. Most importantly is to find out where is the Sydney Entertainment Centre is because our Hillsong colour women conference will start on the next day!

We walked around, crossed the bustling streets and then, we found this Paddy's Market. We immediately fell in love with this low-cost shopping mall because everything is so affordable inside here. Looking at the 3 for $10, 2 for $5 just made our day!

Kangaroo skin... anyone wish to get one home? I wish, but I'm not willing to spend ;P

Look at all the toys!! Indeed a very good place to shop for souvenirs. I just love kangaroos and koalas. Cute animals........... :)

After shopping... we hunt for Sydney Entertainment centre so that we know our way to the conference the next day.

Looking at all the hillsong conference banners just made me so excited! Looking forward for the 3 days of women's day!

And we found it! Just across the Paddy's Market! Only 10 mins walk from our hotel..

Hillsongs bus ... cool rite!

After shopping and everything, it was already 4pm and time for our late lunch. Chinatown is just across the Sydney Entertainment Centre and yes, we had chinese food almost everyday until I banned chinese food when I was back in Msia.

We had our lunch at one of the Shanghai restaurant in Chinatown. The portion is seriously very big and good to share for 2. Beef noodle...

Hot and sour noodle.. All noodles cost about $10 per bowl and I would recommend Asians to share because no matter how hungry you are, you still cannot finish the big bowl of noodle.

After lunch, we walked around Chinatown and then decided to go back hotel to ZZZZ after the long hours of flight. We were all so drenched and need a really good sleep on the proper bed. We were supposed to have a short nap and wake up 1 hour later to hunt for dinner *yes, dinner, when we just finished our lunch 1 hour ago :P * .. but all of us were so tired that we overslept till 8pm! And we got ourselves changed and started hunting for food again... It was drizzling so we decided to have dinner in the mall next door.

Walking around and not much choices, we decided to dine in at this Korean Restaurant "Milliore" at Capitol Square Mall.

Korean dumpling...

Hotpot beef for a cold night was awesome...

And stir fry beef ...

That was the end of our 2nd day in Sydney.. how fast time passed and soon to know, we will be back to Msia again and yes, working day again!
