Yesterday message in church was really good as our most honored guest speaker spoke on the life after. Recently, I've always mentioned this to some of my friends as if they are not afraid on their after life (after they die).
Few questions that I've always asked them :
1) If some people always gossip and talk bad about another person (as if they are EXTREMELY perfect), aren't they afraid of the fire of death? Aren't they afraid of HELL I can say....
2) If some people have such a BAD, EVIL heart and mouth.... aren't they afraid that they will not go to Heaven? And what is the point they pray everyday then? Pray because they are forced to pray and not from their willing heart? And pray because they afraid that people will check on them? And what are the things that they pray? Since their heart is full of evil and bad deeds...... Are they going to pray or curse that person? A big question mark here.
3) People that always tell lies.... and bring some innocent people to be part of their lies... isn't this so cruel? You save yourself from scolding and tell lies and you actually blame on the innocent people just to cover up yourself... I think this is too selfish....
Well, I can say we are not perfect and most cruel people loves to gossip, loves to see people fall, loves to see people fail and they succeed.. I can say they are so EVIL. Between heaven and hell, of course every sober minded people will choose I want to go to Heaven. But, at the end of the day, did you reflect what you have done throughout the day will lead you to the steps of Heaven?
Let say there are 100 steps to reach the gates of Heaven and you have 100 days to go .... if any of the days you do wrong, you will go one step down (-1) and if any days you do good, you will go one step higher..... It's just like not a single day, you can do any wrong. because you have 100 steps and 100 days. You can't afford to make mistake.
We are humans, of course we make mistakes. But how can a sober minded human make repeatedly mistakes? Unless they are out of their mind.... then they can do the same mistakes forever and ever. I just can't imagine people that gossip another person 24 hours a day! I could say I pity the whole FAMILY!! Never be surprised if your kids follow your footsteps and they gossip about you as their parents every 24 hours.
We only live on this earth temporarily and what will happen to our life after? Choose now before it is too late!!! Don't ever think you are still young and you still have 10-50 years to repent. What if you die tomorrow and you don't have time to say sorry to God and repent? It will be the greatest regret ever and the greatest mistake tat you have made in your life!
When I was small, I remembered how my great grandmother who was a non christian passed away. Few weeks before she passed away, she dreamt that she was in the FIRE, extremely hot fire and she didn't want to enter, but the devils were keep forcing her into the fire. And then she woke up from her dream crying and my grandma knew that her time was near. On the final day whereby she succumbed to her old sickness, she shouted and cried and said "I didn't want to go! I didn't want to go! Let me go!" and then she died with her half eyes closed...
I was still small at that time and I didn't know what is the fire thingy all about until I grew up and now I understand.
Matthew 18:8
If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire.
Matthew 19:16-30
16Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" 17"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments."
18"Which ones?" the man inquired.
Jesus replied, " 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, 19honor your father and mother,' and 'love your neighbor as yourself."
20"All these I have kept," the young man said. "What do I still lack?"
21Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
22When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"
26Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27Peter answered him, "We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?"
28Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother[f] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
1 John 3:15
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.
Based on the scriptures above, these are the least that God wants us to do/to be to have an eternal life. Eternal life is so important and do not ever look at it as a next time issue. Every seconds is so precious that you can't afford to make a mistake because you are not certain what will happen in the next second!!
Thus, as we are not perfect, let us not get ourselves into the bad deeds in the world. Do not fill your heart with jealousy. Do not fill your heart and mind with gossiping. Do not fill your heart and mind with hatred. Fill your life and family with love, peace, joy, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control!
And this is God's promise if you choose to live your life as what God has commanded above!
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand!
Such a great assurance from God and truly God wants us to be a better person ..... and let us be one that will please our Father in Heaven! And we shall not worry about tomorrow and the life after death!
Matthew 6:31-34
31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
God bless each and everyone of you and let's give the best for our eternal life! Remember and live your life as if you have 100 steps to heaven and 100 days to go which you can't afford to make any mistake! Always pray for your family members that they shall receive such a great reward like dis as well.
